I improved my 2018 Camry Hybrid XLE quietness and ride by installing the Pirelli AS plus 3 tires. I further improved suspension suppleness by adding 45 lbs of weight to both front of the engine and a 45 lb bag of sand in the very back of the trunk (90 lbs total). This reduced suspension natural frequency to luxury car level by improving sprung to unsprung weight ratio. This also gave the steering a little more meat. I added a highly rated seat seat cushion and leather seat extension for thigh support. I keep moonroof shade closed to stop wind noise one would otherwise hear. It's now Lexus ES-like in my opinion and long drives are now a pleasure.

Great job. Wish we could get the 360 camera and front sensors without having to get the sunroof. That sunroof is going to be expensive to fix when it breaks after the warranty expires😢

I like everything except for the felt trim on the doors and dash. That light color will get dirty real fast. If I were getting this car, I'd have to choose the black interior, since the felt is darker (not sure if it's grey or black).

Bought a '25 XSE. With the 5th gen hybrid system, the engine is actually smoother and quieter than my '25 Lexus NX hybrid which has the 4th gen. (for some stupid reason). Reason found: 4th gen is well proven, 5th gen should be as well, but it's still new. Lexus wasn't taking any chances.

I got the underground on my SE mostly because I didn't want to pay for anything else. It's a hard color to keep clean. Shows the dust on the hood the day after you wash it.

I've got the same car as this and my only regret is choosing the underground color. It's impossible to keep clean. Otherwise I love the car. My first tank of gas got 51mpg.

Mine is metallic white like my 2006 Avalon Limited was. All those black letterings in my months old AWD are shiny chrome. I passed on any moon roof because I hated it on the Avalon. I had rarely used it. Handling is superb unlike the Avalon which was designed to be like an American sedan, but very few Avalons were sold. So any parts needed were rare. There are so many buttons and switches now, I’m still trying to understand them. Bottom line? I love this 2025 vehicle.

@@brianruperti Don't know actually. Maybe still breaking in. It's 1K miles on the odometer. Pure city driving. No freeways. 35-37 MPG. It is what it is. Supposed to be 46 for XLE

@nicholaspetre1 assuming those are your highs than your lows is probably around 35 - 40 F. So odds are you are using a winter blend for fuel which gets much more worse mileage as well. So the cold weather is affecting your hybrid battery in the morning. I would expect it to get better around the spring

15:00 personally, I've never seen anything uglier. Glossy Piano black plastic is something i'd pay to have never again be in my presence. Especially with that hideous fake vent design. It's like an attack to my mental health looking at it. Something the like dash in the GR86 would have been miles better. That piano gloss is nothing but a dirty finger print magnet and a pain the in ass to have. It will quickly go from looking fine, to a crime scene analyst's wet dream in a matter of hours or days depending on your passengers. Luckily the rest of the car hard carry's it's overall design. Love the car, but I would mark this as a decent reason to not get it. If im dropping 40k, I don't expect hard cheap feeling plastics in the car. At some of these points, I'd argue it might be cheaper and smarter to just buy a bare bones base LE and upgrade all the parts to have something far more luxurious and cheaper than going for an XLE.
