I filed may 13 of 2024, had a physical exam and a mental health exam. I got my 100% June 21st. Permanent and total. I feel blessed and hope they start treating Veterans better. I watched a lot of your videos thanks for all you do! God Bless

@Sherry-oj8xk So people who get 10% or denied are not blessed?
@Mike-yu4ohАй бұрын
Just got rated 80% after being out of the military for 24 years. Everything was service connected except PTSD, with them stating it wasn't service-connected, even though I have a current diagnosis, proof of the stressing event, and Nexus letter. They didn't even give me a C&P exam for it. It's currently going through a high-level review because I believe they made a mistake or missed the evidence I uploaded.

Just submitted a claim for sleep apnea two weeks ago, had a C & P exam a week after submitting it where the examiner told me the claim was already denied. I submitted 3 sleep studies, 2 of which were done by the VA along with references from the NIH about shift work, tinnitus, and how they can cause sleep apnea. I'm taking medication to help me fall to sleep at night and to remain awake during the day. Been on a CPAP for over 20 years. Hoping the C & P will work to get me the disability rating for sleep apnea.
@t.p1234xyzАй бұрын
What were the results of the sleep studies? It sounds like you are suffering more from insomnia than apnea. Shift work and tinnitus do not cause apnea but would cause insomnia.
@gerrycorbino66Ай бұрын
I have both, severe obstructive and cental sleep apnea combined with insomnia.

Should a veteran see a private doctor or a VA doctor for mental health issues?

Whoever you’re more comfortable with, just make sure to pull your private medical records and upload them to the VA if you go with private

I'm at 90 and I have about 7 claims and an upgrade to file. Is that bad to file that many? I got two nexus letter for 6 of them. I was denied all 6 back in march without a nexus.
