2025 vs 2024 Nissan Frontier: What’s New and Improved?

2025 Nissan frontier compared to the 2024 model coming to you live from a Nissan dealership and giving you an actual comparison of the new model versus the old model instead of just sitting at my computer talking about it like everyone else did. I’ll go over the major changes and compare some of the benefits that the outgoing model may have over the new one and vice versa. Nissan is on a roll with the frontier and they are continuously eating up more and more market chair as some of the other vehicles become too highly technical for their own good. 2025 is Nissan making that same mistake? Let’s find out.

Less painted area to get rock chipped, less the truck looks like less of a PUG(dog) Nissan gets criticized for not doing anything, then gets criticized for doing something. I think everything is perfect except the frontier letters being in the middle of the dash, it should have been off to the side

Agreed, maybe stitched or something into the passenger dashboard area would've been better than what they did. Literally looks like lava red trunk badging thrown into the center console.

@@lukekuykendall6366 The guys I've talked with say it can be moved or done away with entirely! They're gonna move mind. I was thinking about the glove box but I have to get the truck first! One idea was you have to order the 6' bed, so ask them at that time to make changes! Idk if it'll work but for a price, or maybe not? Most likely has to be heated or popped off. Place a nice strip piece of interior panel to cover up if it leaves a mess.

I think they should’ve left the front end alone. to me It looks big and bulky. It has the hideous Nissan pathfinder three rings on the top of the hood. I do like the new rims but I wish they were at least 18 inches

Having 18" on a medium size truck does nothing but make it ride rougher. You would get a smaller side profile/less tire for the same height. Maybe have an 18" for a Limited or Platinum model but not the Pro4X

The Pro 4X does need a 2 inch factory lift.

Unless you're doing extreme off roading it's good at factory height. I've had no issues around Big Bend. If they gave you another inch but you lost two mpg everyone would be crying about that. Stop worrying about bragging rights of clearance and angles and drive the truck sensibly. I doubt most people who make these remarks even own it. 2022 Pro-4X.

I have a '24 SV king cab 6'bed and I love it. The truck I would have bought instead if I could have would have been the Canada only Pro 4X king cab 6'bed.

It’s the best of both worlds for those who only have 1 vehicle. Can haul the family around and do real work with the bed. Extra foot makes a huge difference as you already know.

SV or S rwd is all 90% of customers need. I like taking my trucks on the beach so I’d like 4wd but that’s about the only time I use it.

Less paint up front means a lot less potential rock chips. Also, I like the flat black trim treatment. I hate chrome anything on my trucks. The 25 also allows me to get the 6' bed throughout the line-up. I like the traditional 6cyl motor over Toyota's turbo 4. I've driven nothing but Toyota 4x4s for the last 30 years but I'm not finding much reason to continue that practice. The Frontier is looking better and better in 25.

Back in the day it was all about chrome,my 1989 Hardbody had beautiful chrome rims,but now I wouldn't buy them and polishING all that chrome was a bitch, though I didn't mind it then.

Like the front end, not a fan of the new rims. Best change, for me, is the availability of the 6' bed on the Pro 4x.

Front end I could go with either, the tail gate I like the 2024 better, the biggest thing for me would be the long-bed Pro4X, that is what I have been waiting for. Unlike a lot of people I actually haul stuff in the bed of my trucks, Now I have to make up my mind as to get rid of my full size truck or the Jeep Wrangler when I purchase a Frontier.

Agree. The 2024 Pro4x front end looks MUCH better than the 2025! Same for the rear. Same for the wheels. The 2025 Dash is a little better with bigger screen (but has large dopey "FRONTIER" nameplate). Better hardware bits. So in short, it's a wash: 2025 looks slightly worse, performs a little better. -Thankfully they kept all the physical buttons, NA V6, 9 spd. auto. -PS: Any Subaru AWD has more ground clearance that this truck. 🤔 Just don't ask about approach and departure angles (or lack of true 4WD) though! 😉

I was hoping for a better looking front. The 2024 front isn’t great looking but it’s simpler and cleaner. The piece they added to the tailgate I don’t care for either. All other changes are good. I’d buy the 2025 but dealers will try and markup the price and upset customers as usual.

Upgrading the the screen without also upgrading the cameras is a definite miss. I feel like they could have done a better job with the refresh while staying true to what the Frontier is.

The 25 looks better to me. Not a fan of Frontier on the front grill. On a side note I drove one and rented a 2025 Tacoma. The Tacoma feels like a more refined vehicle but the Nissan is a way better value.

I like the current one personally, uts just simpler and I find that more appealing. There's definitely some feature improvements that are positives like the telescopic steering and wireless car play. I wonder if theyre going to led headlights as standard?

Grrr. At the ripe age of 27 after a dog attack I agree. My right hand is a bit fd still, and the hydraulic steering is actually starting to annoy me after two frontiers.... Oh well, just hit 100k on my 2012 SL and plan to keep it another decade lol

@@secretdrone it's got to be more than hydraulics. My 37 year old Hardbody with hydro is easy to steer. My old F 150 steered with one finger. The issue must be the calibration of the assist, not that it's electric vs hydraulic.

Pro-4x. The new Tacoma has some major bugs to work out. 2023 Tacoma was solid, I still prefer the powertrain, ride quality, and seats in the Frontier.

TuRD is blowing transmissions and diffs, has turbo 4, and hideous TV screen on dash. Made in Mexico with cheap labor, yet higher prices than Nissan. Plus, Tundras blowing up at low miles, and Corollas catching fire and Toyota not honoring warranty. Toyota is trash now.

I checked out the 2023 Frontier and it was such a disappointment. The seats and everything felt cheap as heck. I sank into the seats like sitting on a 20 year old couch. Everything felt like it was two decades old. Even the liner was drop in. No thanks. I’d rather keep my current car or buy something else.
