Czechia has a goalie who absolutely passed the eye test for me in Hrabal. If we get as US vs Czechia, I’m scared about him being able to shut the US down like he did to Canada last year

I'm quite sure Petteri Rimpinen will be starter goalie for Finland. He is having absolutely beast of a season in liiga. You should defenitely check him out!

My understanding is that if you turn 20 the year the tournament ends (in this case in 2025) then you're eligible, otherwise you're not. That would mean someone who turns 20 on December 27th would not be eligible.

Great video, If you want a player to keep an eye on during the tournament you should take a look at Bruno Osmanis in Team Latvia. He is a very smart player with great vision of the ice and with very smooth stick handling.

USA makes a strong case to run it back. 3rd year starter in net with Augustine, 10 returnees, and what should be the best first line in the tournament.

3:27 "Sorry for my pronunciations on some of these guys." Reminder that with a free account on eliteprospects they have a button you can click (looks like a speaker/volume control) that will play the pronunciation of the name. Note that it won't always be the same pronunciation by the time they get drafted/to North America since many players just accept a "North Americanized" pronunciation of their name including star players like Ovechkin.

Hearing you question whether Canada's D will have enough "punch" even with Yakemchuk off the roster, only for Parekh to ALSO get snubbed is just laughable. Are the tournament organizers demanding Canada nerfs itself??? No Sennecke, Parekh and Cristall is criminal.
@galkanftwКүн бұрын
I see USA defeating Canada in the prelims so Canada will have a tougher game in the ladder portion. I also see McKenna being limited in ice time which will be a mistake.The coach's job is to quickly find the right combinations and then decide what top 6 will lead the team and this is where I feel McKenna gets left out to the bottom 6. Versus the USA top line we will need to have some solid defense but we need our D to also pinch in to help create offense so timing will be key if we are getting caught it will be a loss. However I feel Canada will sort it out in the semis they will get by a tough quarters then likely have to play SWE or USE in the semis and imo Canada wins that and goes on to win the whole thing with one hiccup in the prelims.

Based off what I’m hearing I thinks this will be canadas lineup: 1. Rehkopf. Ritchie. Cristall. 2. McKenna. Catton. Martone. 3. Cowan. Yager. Nadeau. 4. Howe. Beaudoin. Luchanko. 13th: Sennecke LD. RD. 1. Dickinson. Bonk. 2. Schaefer. Molendyck. 3. Mynio. Gibson. 7th: Akey Starter: George Backup: Bjarnason Extra: Ratzlaff
@Isaias-v3x3 күн бұрын
Ratzlaff has not played well and sennecke has looked amazing with rehkopf so good they might keep them together.

Czechia is gonna miss some key players… For example Badinka, who is currently playing in SHL and is definitely best D-man we have.. Then also Radim Mrtka (mrt(D)ka means CUM in Czech😂😂) another great D-man and last but not least Adam Benák..
@Haboobz663 күн бұрын
Badinka sings the most because our coach didn’t take him only because his ego is even bigger than his weight…
@ferrarithegoats3 күн бұрын
I am not convinced that Badinka would actually make the team better, on paper sure but we don't know the relations within the team which are key at this level. But then again, I have no idea why they didn't pick Mrtka, he certainly seems to be better than Husinecky for example.

That USA first line is going to dominate they won't need defense because the puck will be in the other end all game the only way I see the USA blowing it is on penalties.This is the same for Canada penalties can kill momentum and start to make players questions things.

@JH-jw7pu2 күн бұрын
Hockey has ALWAYS been political when it comes to Russia. They literally used it as propaganda. I’m sure you remember the USA vs RUSSIA games right?? In the Cold War. It’s in the HHOF. That’s why it’s more of a challenge to bring in Russian players for a tournament like this, because Russia would absolutely use it as a political propaganda once again (you know, since they’re still engaging in war)
@tallesttreeintheforest2 күн бұрын
if russia is banned, america should be too.. considering america are the ones who starts every war with regime change and economic sanctions and funding of questionable groups.
