The Our Australia Trip 2025 Calendar (only a few left) : www.ouraustraliatrip.com/store
Welcome to our new caravan walk-through episode, done a little differently!
We spend a week travelling down the East Coast of NSW in our new 2025 Zone RV 19ft Peregrine. Along the way, we find plenty of cool campsites including Red Cliffs Camping Area, Platypus Flat in the Coffs Hinterland and Trial Bay Campground in South West Rocks. At each spot, we show you through a different part of our caravan and review some of our favourite features so far. We also get a chance to test both the off-road and off-grid capabilities of the new van during a week of very minimal sun. If you have any questions about our caravan or travels, leave them in the comments below.
We hope you enjoyed watching this episode and thanks so much for the support and kindness on our videos! We're on the trip of a lifetime as we travel Australia full-time so subscribe now to see the whole adventure.

Zone have achieved a big win by partnering with you lovely young people. Fantastic and comprehensive overview of this marvellous van. Great van, but just a heads up - if you use much of your 800Ah and you have shading and bad weather you'll struggle getting the caravan batteries back to a usable capacity. So what we have done is add another 400Ah lithium to the car and we have up to 80A charging via 2 xDCDC chargers and a bit of roof solar. Can simply run a 240V cord from the car's 3000W inverter to the caravan when it is needed. Whenever you're unhitched and you take the car for a drive you get heaps of charge back despite the weather. Much simpler installation too.
@our.australia.trip.
@our.australia.trip. Күн бұрын
The 100amp charger pumps the charge in, with a full day of sun or plugging into 240 you can be charged back up from 10% SOC in less than 7hrs

Thanks for showing the real world fully loaded ball weight. It is hard to get a feeling for the difference between the tare and fully loaded ball weights. I almost purchased a Peregrine last year but ended up buying a second hand Zone 18.6 Venture series (no longer part of the line up) due to the lighter ball weight. Otherwise I would have been up for a new car as well. Despite my vehicle being rated for 3.5 tonne towing and 350kg ball weight there is no way the rear axle could take the extra 490kg that a 350kg ball weight would have added. 320kg would also be too much. Looks like I made the right decision and have around a 270kg loaded ball weight with our van. Pity though because the electrics in the Zone vans have come a long way. In many other respects though they are very similar. Thanks for the video.
@our.australia.trip.

Congratulations on your new van. We picked up our Sojourn this year. Love it but there has been issues. My husband and I saw you at Yardie crossing in 2017 before we knew you were KZbinrs. Love the new van guys. Well done. While we have a fabulous van I would still like to move into a Zone I think they are a quality product. A question for you however and maybe I should be directing this one to Zone themselves. Is there another option other than an induction cook top. My wife has a pacemaker and cannot be around an induction cook top. And before I get all the smart comments about me doing all the cooking. She likes to cook!
@our.australia.trip.

Merry Xmas Brad and Hayley, looking forward to seeing your east coast travels, so much to see and do, we’ll be following your tracks in February, we have the same set up. I only wished we’d chosen the automatic awning, as my sailing hubby loves his ropes 😂 and wanted the fiddly manual pull out to cope with strong winds during the nights. I wonder if it was mating season with those Roos having a boxing match over the female! 🤣you wouldn’t want to step in and stop that match. Ouch!

Thats bloody exciting & yes we will have to keep an eye out for each other 🤩 We chuck the lot in there, even the coffee grounds sometimes to keep the moisture level right. Get this manifold (www.bunnings.com.au/aqua-systems-4-way-tap-adaptor-outlet_p3110315) its perfectly spaced to the zone manifold eliminating the hoses (i found this out after i made my brass one) 😅 Have a great Sunday mate & thanks for tuning in 👍

Beautiful caravan 🎉congratulations, well done on the run down walk through, I just about spat out my coffee when you said 800amp of battery and 1200watts of solar haha epic. How much for one of these 19ft Zone caravans? Can you run the aircon at night time and how much battery would it draw down overnight? Love the look of the van also 😍
@our.australia.trip.
@our.australia.trip. Күн бұрын
Thank you! The power system is awesome on these vans 💪 You could run the ac overnight off grid, when cycling it draws around 80amps. If it was cycling on half the time during an 8 hr period you'd draw around 320amps. We've never had the need to run the ac at night though. These vans start at around 162k Zone have an online configurator where you can build your own & see pricing and tare weights 😊 www.zonerv.com.au/off-road-caravans/peregrine

Thanks Craig, was a nice change of pace checking out this neck of the woods 🙌 We have talked about all different combos. The 19ft i think is the perfect size for us to tour and work full time without compromise. Whats interesting is we were going to bring a boat on this East coast stint, but last minute decide against it. Best decision we made, because there might've been 1 day out of the last 5 weeks where there were suitable conditions to use it!

@our.australia.trip. 4 күн бұрын
From an ecological perspective, these creatures contribute to the balance and sustainability of life. What may appear as "creatures of hell" often have a purpose that benefits the greater system. It’s not necessarily a flaw but a fundamental part of the dynamic, ever-changing universe. Without decay and change, life as we know it wouldn't evolve or adapt. Growth, renewal, and creativity often emerge from the breakdown of the old. From a spiritual or philosophical standpoint, some believe that imperfection and challenge are integral to life’s purpose. They encourage growth, learning, and resilience. A world without flaws, decay, or adversity might lack the depth required for souls to evolve, appreciate beauty, and seek meaning.
