Good video. Just wondering about a $500 drone licence and 2 day course? No licence required for a mavic 3 pro in Australia. Only an accreditation and a $40 registration fee. Only extra requirements if it weighs over 2kg.

What’s that at 25:57? Is that your drone or a UFO

So much respect to the late Ian Lacey from the Idlers Club of Victoria for leading us on so many great adventures in the outback of Australia. Thanks for bringing back memories of our trips. May the younger generation be blessed with this great country. Will follow you from now on.

We just did this trip from East to west and had the same issue with the anderson plug damage. Replaced on a break and now zip tie them together. Awesome trip across in our AOR MPT

Greetings from Auckland New Zealand. Just discovered your channel yesterday while literally skipping through desperately trying to watch something really interesting to watch. We are in our late 60’s and although not travelled much, both of us were absolutely glued to the screen and have subscribed. There is something very refreshing about your presentation style. Wishing both of you and your channel all the very best and thank you for the great videos. Take care.

Good for you guys. Great vid. However I still think that central Australia is the ugliest, most inhospitable place on the planet….if not the universe.

I wonder how long it will take for EV chargers to be available in our Australian Outback? Remote travelling won't be much fun trying to plan such experiences with limited recharging stops!!😢😮

Anderson plugs are crap. They are just friction fit with no locking mechanism.

I do a lot of work out Kintore and Papunya way. There has been considerable unrest in Kintore, Police station had guns stole, Teachers being evacuated, Dialysis clinic broken into so those needing help need to go to Alice Springs. No matter what permit you have you just dont stay near any community. The communities of Kintore, Mt Leibig and Papunya, just get fuel and go. The thinking in these communities is completely different to yours so what you might think is odd, its normal for others. Government promotes "on country" which them creates isolated pockets of society that doesnt function well in mainstream society. I've been in Alice for 16 years, i love the bush and just understand that its different We know what precautions to take and whe to leave.. enjoy your travels.

You didn't ask for a reason?? Even though you wouldn't want to stay where you weren't welcome, I can't see why you wouldn't ask a question. OK... I've read down the comments a bit, and I'm guessing it was an indigenous warning. Welcome to the 21st century when you are reluctant to speak freely about unsettling events like that except in the most vague way.
