It’s weird to say but I’m happy(?) that the pain is the result of a broken rib and not the cancer and that you will be able to have life on your own terms in Jackson. My condolences on the loss of your friend and I’m stomping for Paola, that she finds comfort in knowing his suffering is over. Still it must be so hard for her both because he is gone and because all the daily focus on his care and comfort has come to a halt. I’m sure she feels both voids. My best to her.
