I've been lucky enough to find two of the undated 20 pence coins at the date they were released .as I'm into coin collecting anyway ,and was looking at every 20 p I came to have upon me at the time . Found them both in 2008 and have locked them up ever since 👍

Ive still kept the two 20p coins i received in my change, in my local Stermat branch. There are a lot of very rare coins out there, but they all have a date on them, a coin of the realm with no date at all, that's pretty special.

Very informative channel. I have a NHS 50p coin of which part of the reverse side has been pressed through to the obverse side. On the obverse side there are four diamond shapes around the queens head that have been pushed through from the reverse. Have you any idea if this is a common error?

I can't believe it, I had one too and I don't know what's happened to it, all I remember was not thinking much about it at the time and it was before I even started thinking about coin values. I kept it because it was so odd but I'm sure it's long gone. I'm gutted because I now discover that it would be worth a pretty penny, lol, but not at all lol - more like I'm crying.

I found a 1982 twenty pence and 1983. Both have doubling on all devices on reverse with no doubling on obverse. Is there a market for these?

hey this channel is great and i'm happy i have stumbled across it. I'm just wondering, after seeing the "Remember remember the fifth of November" coin, i remembered i had one in my collection. i looked at it wondering if it was a misprint and i'm sure it is. however instead of saying "Pemember pemeber the fifth of November." It reads "Remember remember the fifth of novembep". With a very clear P on the end of November. the writing is not worn in any way, the groves around the coin are still very clear, so i'm positive that it does infact say "Novembep" I have tried researching into this and have found nothing. What do you think?

I found a 20p minted on a foreign blank while metal detecting, I took it to a local auction house, and the guy offered me £80 for it, the messed up thing is, is that I soaked it in vinegar, and have lost the patina it once had, and now looks terrible, not sure if it's still worth anything now.

Very good question! If you go on Facebook and search for error coin groups..... post the picture on there and they will be able to check it out for you and verify if it's a striking error, or if the coin has just worn away.

I have a falty minted 50 p coin it has bits cut out from the blank coin stamping stage it got all the way through to circulation i received it in change thought some one had tried to damage it but at a closer look the cut outs are very smooth with curved edges i can only think it was caught in the blank stamp out stage maybe the the thickness of the die made this if your interested in looking at it i can send photos

No idea! New error coins pop up all the time.... If you think you have found one, then you will need to contact the Royal Mint directly, who will give you the details of where to send it to get it verified..... do you think youve found one???

@@goblitz2098 There is NO Steel in any coins, and you need Iron for rust. Steel is an ALLOY of Iron and Carbon. Your coin has probably been discoloured by weathering, maybe been dropped and lost at some point of its life.

More than likely just die damage again. The original design 2008 20p is very scarce, not the newer version.

The 1933 Penny - there are only SEVEN known! I think they removed the Lighthouse in 1937. Not rare coins though.
