Very interesting. Unfortunately my mint state nickels are all from the 90s and later, so I know I don't have any of those. That said, the pictures you used of the top ten nickels were all either completely or partially washed out. One would think you would have caught that before uploading. Anyway, thanks.

Hey big guy....thank you so much for the video... especially excited now... around June month I went on a buying spree online... lucky I bought a mint set on 1969 Denver mint and Philadelphia mint Coins...to my amazement in the Philadelphia mint set .. there was no half dollar but a 1969 S penny...and now super excited to hear about the 1969 D nickle... thanks again shaun

Im glad you like nickel. Ive got a crazy mint mark that looks like a cartoon turtle face. Looks like a repunched D mint mark on a sadly worn 1961 nickel. Can i send a photo. I hope you can help. #6 at 4:58... the 1965 Jefferson Nickel. You say that the nickel was minted in Philadelphia because it has no mint mark. This is incorrect. Coins minted between 1965 and 1967 were minted in Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco, but none carried mint marks. The government decided to take the mint marks off in these three years because they wanted to discourage coin collectors from hoarding the coins, which was likely due to the changeover from silver to copper-clad coinage in the dimes, quarters and half dollars.

I bought a 1954 mint set, one it was a low mintage year, but it was all great till I saw the penny so I found a1954ms 67 on eBay to replace it, I know people are making up their own mint sets, look what I had to do, I knew it didn't come from the mint looking like that, sorry to fill your ear..

Here's how it works kids... FIRST : you have to find a Unique coin... Rarity Can equal higher value but You will get next to Nothing if you try to sell it at a pawn shop. You wanna have your coins professionally Graded (PCGS, NGC,etc)... THEN you wanna put them up for auction... At an auction, Maybe you get lucky and two or three Wealthy bidders get in a bidding battle and you score... Or not. And of course you have to get past the hurdles : fees to grade coins, membership fees, and read the fine print about which category you're trying to put your coin into and the Maximum you can expect to collect IF it goes to bid and someone buys it...
