I'm 50 now, but I grew up watching Dukes of Hazzard every Friday night as a young teenager..I looked forward to it and it was the highlight of my week. I even recorded the sound track on cassette tape so I could listen to it over and over again throughout the next week. I loved everything about this show. I can't tell you how many times I yelled out "yeeeehaw" and "Crazy cooter comin' at ya, I may be crazy but I ain't dumb" while riding my bike. I've watched the box set with my 2 boys and they have become a fan of Dukes also. I just want to say thank you to all of you for all the years of fabulous entertainment and laughs. With utmost respect..Rest in Peace goes out to Sorrell Booke, James Best, Denver Pyle for making the show so fantastic also.

Thanks to all who were a part of creating this beautiful show that first aired in 1979, and my favorite show in its day. For me this was truly the "Golden age of television", and can never be duplicated. I had a special affinity for Denver Pyle because I was mesmerized by his persona in "Grizzly Adams", but the entire cast of the Dukes had a magical quality that just worked perfectly together. That old grainy analog just hits home better than todays' digital.

this show is a good memory in an otherwise sad childhood full of neglect and abuse. but watching this show makes me remember the good things and is the only connection i have to my old family. noone talks to anyone now. but i watch these dukes clips, its a way of still connecting to my family without the violence and hurt....i remember bryant gumbel mocking the show b/c at the time it was in the top 5 in the ratings. but even as a child, i knew he was wrong. b/c i knew how much comfort this show brought to me. and bringing children comfort can not be wrong.

@Fried Green Maters It is not all garbage. True, there is a lot of garbage on TV but there is still worthwhile things to watch. I don't like filth, the seamy side of life, adultery, drunkenness, drug use where it is acceptable, homosexuality which is acceptable, abortion, divorce, filthy language (the F word). In other words I like clean living portrayed. The Dukes of Hazzard was clean and it was funny. I love to laugh so I like funny TV as well as serious.

I was born and raised on the Altamaha river in Southeast Ga. I have been to at least 3\4 of the state's. Drove from here to Alaska, worked in Oahu, Hawaii and northern California is gorgeous. ( Love Laguna Beach too!) Still Georgia is in my blood and I always come back. I hate that Hollywood has portrayed everyone as rascist and their fake southern accents. The Dukes is the only show that fairly represented the South. I grew up watching it and there was a few General Lee's in my town. I appreciate all of you people that did a wonderful job representing the South and not disrespecting it. The Confederate flag is not a symbol of rascism but of freedom for all from a tyrannical government. History has been changed to suit the victors. The north imported slaves and Grant and Lincoln had slaves still they want to destroy our culture . Thank you the cast and crew for showing the South in a positive way. You literally are a big part of my childhood! Miss the good old days and good ol boys. Dixie forever!

i LOVED the Dukes from a child to a teen then i hit 21 and was getting pulled over by the cops.. i'd been drinking :/ ...so dumped the clutch, did 2 donuts around the cop car yelling yeeehawww in a shopping center parking lot in a small town called corbin, kentucky. then i shot across the parking lot and down some backroads and ran off and left them... so i had the bright idea afterwards to go shoot some pool at the local gameroom and cops picked me up there.. got charged with 11 misdemeanors, running red lights, stop signs, etc...and 1 felony of first degree wanton endangerment, cop said i was trying to hit him when i did the donuts around his cop car.. i got lucky, just spent 45 days in jail.. could've been a lot worse.. no regrets.. i'm old now.. still LOVE the Dukes!!!

I concur 100% with James Best’s (Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane) thought, “It was a real blessing, because I got to be a part of a unit that brought happiness to this whole world.” Some will argue the flag painted on the roof of the iconic vehicle on this show, and yes that emblem does not reflect the best of memories in this nation, as most of us from Gen X, to include our parents generation enjoyed what The Dukes of Hazard gave to this world. 🍻🇺🇸🙏🏼🇺🇸🍻
