Why do i feel like crying rn. For the longest time i was ashamed of being gay. Ive been gay since like 9 or 10. And i hide it away from the work for almost a decade. Then i heard listened to this song and i came to the realization that being gay was nothing to be ashamed of and I finally cam out of the closet about being gay. And when i did it was like a cloud had lifted. I am not ashamed any more about being gay cause i know “this is me”.

For how amazing this is it pales in comparison to the run through clip. Where the amazing actress finally comes out of her shell and absolutely OWNS the room….. It is genuinely the absolute embodiment of the spirit of the song. She was so frightened that she refuses to come out from behind her podium at first but the lyrics and support in the room carries her up and out….
