I don’t think Lyndon is portrayed to be a villain in this series, if anything he is supposed to be what he represents in the show, someone who had little left to care for, but when he found his words had worth on stage, he didn’t wanna give up the part where he thought he spoke truth. I don’t understand why he has had several comments that contradict his politics in the last ten-ish years, but I guess many men who feel cheated by their image in the media are bound to keep following this weird “I like Trump” cycle

I don’t actually think it’s as bad as people make it out to be. I find it hilarious that it’s by Disney but in terms of biopics it does the job. John Rotten story is as important as Steve and Paul’s and I don’t think the show really misses much without him. I wasn’t around at the time of punk in the 70s (so I could be wrong) but to me it looks perfectly fine. The only area that I feel let’s down the show is that there’s no mention of the Scandinavian tour that they did in early 77’ and also how it doesn’t really show the venues in the USA that well. (Bar longhorn of course) I wouldnt mind seeing those things that I mentioned above but they aren’t really necessary in terms of the story of the pistols. I feel like this show has been kinda swept under the carpet due to Lydon slagging it and also due to it being Disney I feel however that the actors involved in the project should get some praise, especially Anson (Johnny Rotten) and the guy who played Glen ( can’t remember his name sorry) the rest of the actors did an amazing job. Especially playing characters who are no longer with us (Sid, Malcolm Nancy etc) they did those people justice I suppose. This show ironically has had the same reaction as never mind the bollocks did on its original release which if you think about it is the most PUNK think ever… Think about it…
