The best 90 min. I’ve spent on KZbin in a looong time. Thank you. Next time someone points at my ukulele and says it’s a toy I’m sending them to you guys.

I have one of those Kala ebony concert models, and it's great! Tonally, it reminds me of a refined old Martin. You guys are the best!

@Chas Menear - I have a Kala tenor made from mahogany - it has a slotted headstock that makes it look really lovely imo and has continued to sound better and better over the 5 years or so I've owned it. I chose it on the recommendation of Aaron from HMS who said they were voiced to sound like vintage Martins. It's a wonderful instrument for £200. I love it but wouldn't mind one of these either. Kala make some really good affordable Ukes.

This was so great. Thanks guys for not only a very groovy performance that felt like I was hanging with talented friends but opening my appreciation for some beautiful ukulele makers I was unfamiliar with 🌞💛🍍🥭

What a nice surprise! Always fun to listen to you guys. And interesting to get a sample of instruments that are a little more affordable. As well as to learn some new stuff. Mahalo!

Just curious to what scale you’re playing at 27:16 is it Phrygian?

Thank you so much for another great podcast, these are such a treat. This week's opening jam felt especially joyful and heartwarming (and Kalei's smile as he showed off the e minor 7!) Also-surely I cannot be the only one who desperately needs to hear Corey's full arrangement of the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy now? :D

3:51 That poor tuner. It does not understand what is expected from it. How to do it's duty and please the owner? How to keep up with this crazy tuning method? What is it? Some new fashion like tiktok or something like that? Just release me! Let me retire! Let me out!!!!!
