It is quite literally the best crowd clearing technique in the game. It turns the Eldin Great Skeleton camp from one of the most annoying enemy camps in the game to one of the easiest. this actually did give me a number of new tips in addition to a couple things things I knew before. I have a few more tips to add 1: The Sheikah sensor+ can be used to locate lost arrows and thrown boomerang items when you have a picture of the weapon in question, something I use often. 2: It can also help in finding DLC gear without resorting to a guide. I was at a loss as to how to find the Korok mask in the lost forest before it dawned on me that it is in a chest and the Sheikah sensor+ can detect treasure chests no matter what type they are. 3: The Korok leaf is the greatest durability saving weapon on weak enemies. The gust of wind knocks down Keeses and and knocks apart Skal enemies without having to hit them, leading to easy follow up attacks for 1 damage to finish them off. The gust can also be aimed (and thus the leaf cannot be thrown at enemies) and around tall cliffs or deep water is a great way to defeat early game enemies on master mode when the weapons are still too weak to whittle at the larger regenerating health bars. It makes getting the maracas a literal breeze. Bombs work much the same but is harder to coax a whole group in one direction with them and neither one will help against Moblins.

Lol did you never play Ocarina of Time? That same feature was present in that game also
@JimboJamble3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, quick spin has been in every 3D Zelda game as far as I know, but the N64 controller's stick wasn't quite as smooth and responsive as its successors, so I found them considerably more difficult to reliably pull off in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. A few more quick spin tips... -Quick spin in OoT and MM does a level 1 charge attack with no magic consumption, and it even works with the huge Great Fairy Sword in MM. -Spin attacks don't collide with walls, so you can use them to great effect in confined areas; in Wind Waker, you can perform quick spins with those ridiculously long Moblin weapons which otherwise tend to bounce off of walls when swung normally. -Spin attacks in Breath of the Wild do not to additional damage like they did in other games. They're still good for fighting groups and for knocking them down, but otherwise they won't help you much in a 1-on-1. _(Bonus tip: the last hit of a combo usually knocks down an enemy, which is sometimes undesirable because you have to chase after them if they get knocked back too far, and the last hit also has a longer recovery time. Instead of mashing for the combo, swing your weapon just a few times, pause for a moment, and start swinging again. This allows you to keep hitting them without that big slow final hit, dealing more damage over time and sometimes allowing you to stun-lock them so they can't fight back.)_

Some people are adding in their own tips, so here is mine. For the shooting targets Korok challenges, you can stasis the airborn pots to have a nice steady target to shoot. It won't break once the stasis ends, but since it has a new trajectory, it won't be "caught" where it normally lands, and when it hits the ground it will break and count.

I often find myself lynel farming, with my 60 master sword instead of mounting it, simply headshot the lynel, while it is stunned, you have time for 8 hits, before you slightly back up, draw your bow, and headshot him again just after he finishes shaking his head to avoid not stunning him... Full shiekah armor allow you to sneak upon enemies while at full walking speed. You don't need to sneak. You can fish using bombs, and you can even whistle to make the fish go crazy and get stuck on the shore, very sastisfying. And heres a super useful tip: you can use statis to highlight collectible ingredients (mushrooms, fruits.... ) makes searching a lot easier.

A few addendums: - Master Sword beams have a range directly tied to how many hearts Link has at full health, so when you first unlock the sword, you might not be able to reach everything you want. Temporary health _is_ counted by the game for this stat, however, so you can extend your reach with hearty foods. - If you're a purist who doesn't like to use what might be seen as "glitches," or "exploits," you can also start a grass fire with the level 3 charge attack of the Flamespear _without_ needing to inventory swap. - If you want to use the Freeze > Stasis > Shock trick but there are only strong enemies around, you can compensate by using the time slowing mechanic. Climb up to a high vantage point, freeze the enemy, stasis, then jump off and pull out your bow to slow time, which will let you get off multiple volleys of shock arrows where normally you might only have time for one, possibly even none.

I basically never leave comments but I was so prepared for over half of this to be super basic things to where your title is clickbaity and I gotta say I'm genuinely astounded. I didn't know 99% of these! Thank you for living up to your video title name because this will be super useful!

Started a new job with a LOT of downtime so I finally bought a Switch. Only got one game for it and it's BotW. Four years later and I'm only now playing it. Feels a bit overwhelming, even when I've been a "hardcore" gamer for years now, just knowing that there's SO much to the game but not knowing any of it. Feels like I need to do research and study just to get more than the base amount of enjoyment outta the game. Thanks for this video. Hope you do a pt2

I love how in 500+ hours of playing this game there are still areas that I have never seen and combat mechanics that I've never noticed. Botw might just be the best exploration game ever

I got like 5 of them in a row once. Was killing Lynels to get my xp up and that was the only type of how they would drop. Meanwhile on my other 4 playthroughs I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 of them. :/

Nothing is rare if you commit to farming it. 🤔 But on a normal play through they don't drop as often as the 3 shot. Thats all he meant

My brother and I have replayed this game as if we came from the fishing village and are on a quest to obtain the barbarian set, which is part of an ancient tradition to be proven as a man. Basically, set out to find the 3 rumored Zonai mazes, then receive the 3 dragon blessings. The restrictions we placed were no ice or stasis using outside of shrines...only 4 shrines a zone not related to a quest...can't do va lizard in death mountain because no Zonai maze there...as well as trying to play like a person who feels more safe near water.

I like farming for beetles around the Tawa Jinn shrine (the shrine quest with the 3 Hinox). You can get a lot of each beetle between 7pm-7am. You can also get a lot of hightail and hearty lizards in this area, along with a few other things for cooking and upgrading. I got 25 of each beetle and both types of lizards in about 40 minutes of gameplay, but I was also collecting fleet lotus seeds and courser bee honey.

There's also a diamond under a specific rock that respawns each bloodmoon. Satori mountain is awesome.
@ShaunRF3 жыл бұрын
I actually didn't know that the Diamond Circlet gave a 20 percent Ancient Proficiency bonus all by itself. That just cements it as my favorite head gear in the game. On top of that bonus, it is also tied for the highest defense when fully upgraded, and gives a very clean look. Another head piece with the same advantages, minus the ancient bonus, is the Amber Earrings. This one is much cheaper to upgrade as well, if you don't wanna use all of your diamonds for upgrades.

Update: if you want a more consistent way to pull off the constant weapon hitbox exploit, press Y, then mid attack hold x, release that as you then hold b, then release that as you hold y to activate the spin! It's a bit more steps, but without these extra inputs it won't always work right Thanks for watching though, here's to a great 2021 ahead!! I honestly never knew about the beetle tree in satori mountain in my 900 hours playing this, but brings up a great idea, have you considered a video listing every farmable item in satori mountain?... I know there are hearty radishes, durian, rushrooms, swift violets, apples, and more, but theres so many and are often difficult to relocate, an in depth satori mountain area guide would be amazing, and I know there's plenty of other hidden farming areas like the durians next to faron tower, and a lake on the mountain southwards that has a large number of fish of various types, these exceptional farming areas are all over the world, often quite hidden, and in my opinion, would make an excellent compilation... Especially in your consise and friendly style...

Just make sure to leave the map area after you pick everything up. Every minute, there is a 1% chance per item, but only if you are in a different map area or (I think) in a dungeon.

Some tips: - Lizalfos can't see you if you are hiding under their head (lol) - you can shield parry anything... every label attacks, your own bomb explosions, and even npcs. - shield parrying octorocs projectile is more efficient and accurate to kill them unstead of letting the projectile reflecting on your shield and wasting durability - press x while on your horse or cycle , then use your bow. Easy free slowed time. Use this method on lynels to get headshots (the hitbox is weird) - when you sneakstrike a strong enemy, feel free to switch to barbarian armor while the animation is playing. - travelling merchants sells better quality ingredients while it's raining.

Hello! I leave here a couple more of tricks for this amazing game. 1. For looking for kologs, if you need to find an specific rock, use stasis (stop time, I don't know how to say it in english). This will make the rock shine yellow and you will see it clearly. 2. Cave of Shadows is not needed to max out Wolf Link's health. Only by making the first 5 will do the work. By the way, Wolf link can do a move that can hit multiple enemies, as he does this with midna in the original game. 3. If you are using amiibo and need a rare item such as a weapon or armor, just go to switch calendar and change the day. 6. Rememeber every 5 drops there is a 100% chance of a rare drop of each amiibo. 7. Urbosa can be used in ganon when he is climbing a wall in his last phase, which will give you free damage and hits. 8. If you need to farm ancient cores, just save in front of a guardian (it can not be a damaged one, they don't drop cores). When killed, if it hasn't dropped a core, reset the game with the last save. Try again until you get what you need. 9. Killing or hitting one wolf will make the others go away. 10. In a climb, there is a certain angle that link can climb and walk. If you are climbing, press B and he will start walking, which will regenerate his stamina. 11. In Sword Trial you can cook wood. It only gives you half hearth, but it's still something. Thank you and sorry for the bad english!
