Dear Michal, it time to thank you. Thanks for all your Videos, comments und recommendations. I restarted with Vinyl just a year ago. I still got my old record collection and now I am filling it up with new, old and "new-old" stuff. So advice is very much welcome and necessary for me. But today I want to thank you especially for introducing me to Judee Sill (with this video). There are moments in my musical life when you find an artist or a record that really made a difference. This is one of those moments. Thanks, and of course Helau from Neuss.

I'm 70 years old. Really! Going from the Vanilla Fudge album to Nefertiti is kind of a shock. The first track on Nefertiti is basically a Tony Williams solo over an ostinato. It's Tony Williams on drums. I'd take an eight track tape version of Nefertiti over the Vanilla Fudge album. By the way I own both albums on vinyl. Hey! Kids make mistakes.

Great recommendations. Gives me some new inspiration. Been listening to some of them to decide which ones to buy as most of them are not cheap :). I have the Friday night in San Francisco as a Phillips pressing, which I picked up for €5. It sounds fantastic and is 16 times cheaper ;). I have Norah Jones as a standard Blue Note pressing, which also sounds very good and only costs a fraction of the MoFi one. It's just a suggestion for the ones who are not willing or able to pay €80 for one record.

I am a fan of Gillian Welch and I am purchasing the vinyl (also from Dave Rawlings Machine) as they are published. However I must have been unlucky with my pressing of "Harrow & The Harvest" because it's incredbily noisy (cracks & pops). The recording is obviously great and the cover is stunning. I ususally listen to the cd (wich is amazing). I'll need to listen to "Soul Journey" to understand if it was just a single bad pressing.

Hello, hope you see this and reply. I'm a beginner and you have inspired me. Saw your quick comment on 'Legrand Jazz'. I went to the Impex site. You mentioned your copy was 33 1/3 in your clip. Some great selections there, have recently invested in a few thousand dollars worth of mofi, tone poet, music matters jazz, analogue productions etc. As someone who loves good quality music from many different genres I would love to see more contemporary music take this audiophile approach to vinyl pressings, especially electronic which I'm a big fan of. For example the album "Psychic" by Darkside sounds incredible on vinyl but can only imagine if mofi gave it the special treatment. Some I prefer the tidal version like "Out the Window" album by Christopher Schwarzälder, the vinyl sounds crappy. I wonder if there will be audiophile pressings for more contemporary music in the future... Hope so!

Hallo michael, thanks for your suggestions. Besides lp’s and cd’s i also stream music from qobuz, here are some songs i think sound fanfastic on my hifi system, all played from qobuz. Melanie de biasio - your freedom is the end of me, from the album lilies. Ruthie foster - ring of fire, from the album let it burn. Snowy white - bird of paradise (version 2002), from the album the best of snowy white (remastered). This proves to me that not only your hifi system is important but also the recording and mastering.
