how nifty is that... very cool. Yes, memories of doing the old 21 card trick at the bar every night. The fun part was finding unique ways to reveal the card. I often liked the version of dealing out the cards and passing their card... then make a statement of "The next card I turn over will be your card"... they all laugh and make faces until i go back to their selection and turn it face down... This could have the same type of reveal. Thanks so much for sharing.

Lovely!! Would like to point out that this trick can be done with the whole 52 card pack as well. Instead of 14 the card would appear in the 35th position. Also since we have 52 cards one pile would have 18 cards. If the cut selection is placed on top of the 18 card stack then the selection would appear in the 34th position instead of 35th 😊

As always, a great demonstration from you! If you are very interested in this feat, you will find in "Marlo without tears" from page 146 a treatise, named "Nouveau 21-Card Trick". Marlo beginns with phase 1 and the goes on to phase 6, every time with a different methode to confuse the audience. And when you think, the trick becomes more and more impossible, he end with "blow-off phase 1" and "blow-of phase 2". It is really interesting and exciting. (well, Marlo as you know him) Thank you for your great videos. with magical greetings from Switzerland (sorry for my poor English) André

It's a lot like Jim Swain's from 21st Century Card Magic using the free cut principle, I love it, subtle, deceptive

The first thought I had was marked cards, so turning away and instructing would elevate this even more. Also I don't ever mention the 21 cards, just put the ace of spades into the 21st position and when ready to perform, riffle to the ace and cut there. Then "For this one we don't need a full deck, can you shuffle these?". Now you can turn away and give the instructions one what to do from there.

What I like about your magic is your shuffles feel real. The Hindu shuffle doesn't

Another idea is, ask the to reveal his card, he can either lie or say the true card, then from face up deal the cards t.r.u.t.h.i.s and the next card would reveal if he was lying or truth.😅
@ryanhenderson89083 жыл бұрын
This is the most direct non-convoluted way to do a face-down 21 card trick I've seen. Imo just flip the 14th card face up as your dealing. I think the best way to present this is as the "anti-21 card trick". Somebody does the regular one to you and it takes for freakin ever and then you do this and bam it's over in 30 seconds and you never saw the cards.
@totallymagic3 жыл бұрын
Good idea for a routine. I like the idea of keeping it quick as I've always found the original 21 card trick a little long with too much dealing. Thanks for the suggestion.
