I clicked the download link (tiny blue "download" on left of page below file details) and was able to download the PDF, read it on my PC in my PDF reader and marvel at it's cleverness, all before the document became visible on screen. The Google Drive link works as you'd expect i.e. quickly and perfectly. Now planning to brush up on my maths!

This is a genius stack. Who would have ever thought to find a card in a mixed deck by knowing where that card is in a new order deck. But, to make it more confusing and easier, you reverse the number. And if you run into problems, just add 5 and subtract 5 to find the selected card. Who does that? But, you're right. I picked up on the system just as you went along describing it. I was finding the card almost as quickly as you were. And, believe me, I'm way worse at math than you are. Seriously, it doesn't get any easier than this. Great job of explaining the video and thanks for the download for the stack.

I cant tell you how much this stack means to me. I have severe memory problems, no short term memory bank, i have trouble with math, and dyslexic tendencies. You can imagine how this has made card magic a bit tricky over the years. For a while i tried using si stebbins, and it is a great stack, but it honestly takes a moment for someone like me, to figure out where cards are, and if i get messed up, then shows over. This is so simple. I legit started naming cards as soon as i finished making the stack, and could find them with little to no issues. This is not 5 minuets after watching the video. You have more then earned a sub from me my friend, you have earned a vary sincere thank you :).

Not a magician but love watching and learning about magic, and enjoy these videos which are both entertaining and informative. I just wonder, are the numbers 6 and 7 anomalies? If you reverse the other single numbers which result in a total greater than 50 (i.e. the 8 or 9), then subtract 5 and add 5, those cards in the Harding stack are located at positions 35 and 45 respectively, however both the 6 and 7 of clubs appear to bepositioned in the Harding deck in exactly the same location as the sorted deck.
@totallymagic5 жыл бұрын
You are right, but if you read the download of full instructions, it does talk about 6 and 7 clubs remain "as is". So no calculations required. 6 and 7 appear in the same position in both stacks. Hope that helps. thanks for comment

Thank you so much for sharing this Bart Harding stack. It is a really good and easy system to learn. The only other stacked deck I know is the Si Stebbins stack. It is a good stacked deck but it has its limitations. I was not aware of this stack of yours. I am in the process of memorizing the mnemonica stack and that is hard. I spent money trying to learn that stack and I think I have wasted my money on the mnemonica stack. I am going to learn this new stack of yours and put a hold on memorizing that mnemonica stack. Thanks again.👍👍👍👍
@pasky6415 жыл бұрын
mnemonica stack is total memory. It's dificult but not imposible. Allthemore Tamariz made plenty of tricks and complete routines with that stack. Maybe you feel worthy to learn it.
@hanzelnuts84465 жыл бұрын
@@pasky641 I have memorized about 30 or so cards in the mnemonica stack already. I just feel that this system might be better because there's not a lot of memorization. Besides, with the mnemonica stack, if you don't practice or use it, you're going to forget it. Someday, I'll get back to it. 😬
@TheMightyOdin5 жыл бұрын
Hanzelnuts This is interesting to me because I wouldn’t say i have the best memory but I learned Mnemonica in about 2 hours. Meaning I was 90% good after 2 hours. The next day I had it locked in. That was a couple of months ago. Today I can recite it forwards and backwards. I can associate a random number with a card, I can associate any card with a number and not only in original stack but after the deck is cut multiple times by my spectators. I can see how this stack in the video works but there are crazy advantages to Memorizing a stack if you can do it. It doesn’t have to be mnemonica either. You can make up your own stack.

I saw someone on Penn & Teller Fool Us do a variation of this using a day of a friend or relative's birth, no month or year, just the day as the selected number. Then they had them pocket one pack and shuffle the second one with a different colored back. Since the days available are limited to 31 or less, the calculation was easier. If more time would have been needed, he could have asked for more shuffling. The magician checked to see that the cards were indeed well shuffled (culling the same card as at the BH location and forced it well, without it seeming like a force; it went right by P&T). Now pretending not to know the card, the deck pocketed by a 2nd spectator was used to count down to the date. The spectator did all the handling of that deck and counting. Did card the card at their number happen to match the as of yet unknown to magician or audience selection? Wow! It did. The routine was a hit.
@VictorLamme5 жыл бұрын
Amazing how random it looks given the simple algorithm behind it. Really great because it allows the open counting down of cards, which you can't do with for example a Si stebbins. Thanks!

The best way to learn the Bart Harding System for me anyway. This method is not to take away Bart System. But for me, I discovered a using a series is always the best way to remember things. Everyone can count from 1 to 5. The only one that is not in the sequence is row 5. 8C then 9C. If you can remembered after KD is the 8C & 9C and There are 12 rows and 5 columns the 5th column has 12 rows 11. and row 12 2H and row 12 is QH You don't need to use math in your head if you are not good at it the math slows you down if trying to calculate in your head not everyone can do it fast enough. The longer you take to come up with the location of the card the more doubtful you become. You want to locate the card if someone gives you a suite and value you know where the card is or just a number both ways is. You can also know what card they took by looking at the card before or after you know what card in missing. Also, you need to remember the first column is the most important. You can use your fingers for the 5 rows LOL. Column 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Row 1. 10C JC QC KC AH 2. 7H 8H 9H 10H JH 3. 4S 5S 6S 7S 8S 4. AD 2D 3D 4D 5D 5. JD QD KD 8C 9C 6. 6C 3H 4H 5H 6H 7. 7C KH AS 2S 3S 8. 9S 10S JS QS KS 9. 6D 7D 8D 9D 10D 10. AC 2C 3C 4C 5C 11. 2H 12. QH All the cards is exactly in order like the Bart Stack Best of Luck to Everyone. Magic Pure Entertainment. Aloha!!!

I forgot to put the numbers in front of each card like 11. JC to 20. 2C 21. QC to 30. 3C 31. KC to 40. 4C 41. AH to QC
