Next time you suspect a coil I suggest moving the coil from the missing cylinder to another one. If the miss moves with the coil then you know if it's the coil without having to buy coils. Most auto supply stores will tell you that if you installed the new part you can't return it. I've been wondering something, do you have to get your car emission testedas an ODB2 WRX?

I considered swapping coils around to verify but 2 had broken clips and they were all 15 years old with 90k miles on them. It was time for fresh ones. No emissions testing when I registered the car in my county in Kentucky.

Where did you end up mounting your charcoal canister at? Could you have just left it where it was, but looped the inlet line up higher than the fuel filler port? As long as the inlet hose to the canister is higher than the inlet to the fuel tank, the canister should never fill up with gasoline (I think).

I moved my canister a little higher on the same frame tube but I still have a little fuel dripping if I fill the tank 100%. Yeah you should be able to loop the hose higher and fix it. The hose is impossible to reach at the gas tank without removing the seat and firewall so I was trying to avoid swapping a longer hose on. Could add a connector and another foot of hose to make the loop. I'm actually going to do that. Good idea Dan!
