I'm learning so much from you, and I appreciate the way you organize and label. I'm a former jeweler (mostly repair work)and I once worked in a shop replacing a guy who had been there forever. My boss had never had a female jeweler working for him. I had a color-coded organization system which took me a couple of days to set up (I had the shop all to myself-- yay!), and my boss thought it was wacky at the beginning. I asked him how long it took the other (male) jewelers he'd had to get a repair out, from intake to customer. He said about 3 weeks. I told him I was going to get it to 3 days. And I did. Organization is underrated. Lol. I'm sure the other jewelers spent half their time just looking for their tools. I could find mine with my eyes closed.

Thank you for sharing that Marianne. I so agree that organization leads to more time free to do other things (instead of time spent looking for stuff 😄). Thank you too for the kind words.

Hi MariamThank you for your response. I am getting ready to experiment with these dirty pours. I am pretty artistic, but never have don't this before. Anyone can make a pour, and I've seen a lot of it on here. You have that extra artistic ability tha turns your pour into a work of art. I never start off simple, believe me. I saw a pic that I know was a dirty pour, had I can't get out of my head. The negative space was more of a mix of ocean colors, then a sea turtle was formed in the middle, with another dirty pour of different colors, it was amazing. Don't know if I can pull it off, but perhaps somewhere down the road......I thought I might sketch the turtle first, and hope when I do the fill in pour, that I can manipulate the paint somewhat. I do enjoy your videos, you are very gifted, and can see the end result.

Myriam's Nature I agree and you can look one moment and look at it again a little bit later and see it in a entirely new light. I am so glad you explained the ratio of how to determine how much paint to use. I am in the gathering stage. I have been hording for about 4 months trying to gather enough here and there when the two hobby stores have sales. I lost all of my belongings in the Flood of 2016 that I had for most of my life. This sounds crazy but TBH I had finally minimized most of my belongings. Kept what I wanted. I had my craft room finally perfect in my eyes and had just settled in to where it was so comfortable. If I could choose what I would have wanted not to be destroyed it hands down would be my art supplies(I had just gotten for Christmas new Living room furniture too(LOL) 😜 Only someone who loves expressing their self through art understands. When someone is saving for that new dress...for me it's art supplies. I have learned so much from you and the other pour artist. I feel like when I do make my first pour I will at least understand what I am aiming for. That is if I can work up the courage.This is even better than water colors! I love them because they are so forgiving and even if you aren't top notch they are still lovely. This is a dream come true through each time you pour you can get something so different even if you have several cups filled the same way. I am delighted and excited to see what you do next.
@MyriamsNature7 жыл бұрын
Oh my Rita... I am so sorry to hear about all you lost last year. Your positive spirit undoubtedly kept you looking forward. It's simply awesome that art is a priority... It really fills the soul and heart! I always think that if a ton of money fell in my lap and I didn't need to work anymore, I would just enjoy my art and craft hoard to the fullest. I have all the colors of paint I need probably but always want more to try out and discover. This medium is so vast and can be personalized in countless ways. I think at once you start you won't be able to look back. It took me countless weeks of watching others before I broke down and tried my first pour. It was love at first "flip". Those with an inherent love for creativity can't help but figure out new ways to make this art form new and exciting just for them... It'll certainly be that for you. Let me know when you take the leap... I'll be happy to hear. 😊💕🎨 Thank you for always being so encouraging and sweet.😘

Myriam's Nature I will I want to watch yours from the beginning and learn what I need to. I have been purchasing both black and white canvases when on sale. A little confused about the gesso. I have stuff to make it I just have heard so much about it. I started buying Behr paint in sample sizes, I have a 72 piece color of acrylics in tubes. I want to buy some Martha Stewart metals. I didn't know but Home Depot has Unicorn Spit in the smaller of the two sizes they offer for almost $3.00 cheaper than Amazon. I bought 2 metal paints in half gallons or pint size either way it was a lot. In Champagne and Gold.. They offer a Silver, Platinum, Copper,Pewter and Bronze. The cost was $25.00 a piece. I am going to watch your videos from first to last and I promise to submit a picture. Thanks for being so understanding. I just feel like a child on Christmas Eve anticipating morning.Thanks again!

This turned out Awesome! This is how most of my fluid acrylics wind up, not as pleasing to look at but I can not, not play around with the paint after I think I am done! Almost all the pours I have done, 10 so far, 2 are mixed media were I did controlled pours around a laminated picture I mounted on the canvas, have been done late night/early morning. No distractions or schedule to arise at any set time, it is me time to get creative and play in the paint. I reviewed the 4 ways several times and number 3 jumps out to me, I see a Dragon's head. Thank you for sharing your creativity and look forward to your next adventure! :D

I have those evil paints, too. One night, I had gotten ready for bed and even got to the point where I sat on my bed prior to lying down, when I heard the paints say, "Come on, you know you want to!" and I was up until 4:30 a.m.! The other day, I was trying the swirl/tree ring technique, and at the end, a blob of white paint hit the canvas. After feeling bad that I had messed it up, I thought, "The paint is not the boss of me!" and I took a toothpick and started working the blob into striations. Admittedly, it would have looked better without that mistake, but I did get it to look better than just a blob of white paint that dripped out of the cup, thanks to you. I like #1 the best. I thought I'd like #3 the best since I usually like the heavier elements on the bottom left, but #1 seemed the most balanced.

They are so naughty aren't they? And needy!! But we love them and they know it. 😄 I love that you didn't let the paints win... Woo hoo!! I agree about the balance in #1. I'm looking forward to doing a tally in a few days. Thank you for being so fun and kind Blaiz. 😊💕

I love the bottle organization...I keep putting off labelling then forget what I put in which paint! Thanks for all the info you share!!! You are AWESOME!!! 😀

I can get bad about labeling especially if I mix a bunch of colors ... Varying the bottles made life much easier for this lazy girl!! 😄🎨💕 Thank you for the kindness Cherie!

Hi, as a very newcomer to acrylic and resin pours I found this video extremely useful as I've never seen anyone play with the pours as you do and the idea of removing areas is wonderful. I am in the UK so am struggling to get control. I am using pva at the moment so my results are not brilliant. I am really just practising my technique. Love the video and have subscribed. X

There are no words to describe how amazing your are! I don't even think I could paint how amazing you are! That's just how wonderful you and all of your tutorials are. I am a HUGE love of squeezie bottles, which I discovered because of you! They save so much time and money; they also make it easier for pouring and mixing inks/paints with different mediums. I have some graduated squeezies so all my mixing is precise. Amazing art, amazing teacher, amazing everything! Thank you for sharing it all with us here on the interwebs! Happy Holidays to you and your family Myriam!

Oh my gosh... thank you so so much! I truly appreciate your amazing kindness!! I can't imagine doing this type of work without squeezie bottles. If you'd like to add to your stash, these little guys are among my favorites... I found both style of bottles on eBay... The pro is price, the con is that they take three weeks to get because they're coming from China. For the smaller bottles with blue caps/nozzles search for this exact phrase on eBay : "6pcs glue gel squeeze bottle" ... 6 will come for under $2 INCLUDING shipping... They hold a little over an ounce. For ultra precise detail work search for "5pcs squeeze bottles with nozzles"... You get 5, roughly two ounce, bottles with 7 different detachable tips each... Pick the vendor who's got them for under $4 (also includes shipping!!) If you want them sooner they're available on Amazon but for literally four times the price. (I couldn't add that to the Amazon list in good conscience... They aren't worth $12.95.) I hope you enjoy.😊💕 Happiest of holidays to you and yours!

when you first poured it... to me it looked like a big fish with its head to the right and a big yellow eye. Then you started tweeking and it looked like you were making tail fins... then when you were finished ... to me it looks like a dragon head with its head pointing down to the right !!! Yes ... I know... an over active imagination !!! You rock !!

#2 is my fav :) I love your videos, it's both zen time because your voice is wonderfully calming and warm, and bubbling ideas time because you don't "just" pour - nothing wrong with just pouring but I really like where your videos make my brain go :)

Myriam's Nature are the paints flat or gloss.
@MyriamsNature7 жыл бұрын
Mostly flat Carol. If you noticed a glare on the dry painting it was just a spot that hadn't fully dried when I took the shots at the end.

Leto Anor me 2 👍👍 i can watch the channel 24/7 such a creative imagination 😊 beautifully relaxing voice she has. One thing I need to stop watching late at night because I too hear the paint and ideas often ending up getting back up out of my bed and start painting at silly o'clock i.e 3am 🤣 keep up the great work and thank you so much for sharring and showing us how x

HI Myriam., my fave posittion was # 4 as it reminded me of a squirrel with a bushy tail. I said oh no not the yellow at the same time your were saying you could just hear us now. LOL. I did notice the low dose of silicone and I for one was particularily happy to see that done with your feathers and lace work put in . It ended up quite lovely.
@MyriamsNature7 жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh how did I not see the squirrel?? If you knew me you'd know how squirrel-focused I can be... I just love them (I even make squirrel jewelry 😄!) Now I love #4 even more. I'm sorry about the yellow... Forgive me.😊 Thank you for always being so sweet Parker!
@parkercummings19067 жыл бұрын
THAT is interesting. Maybe you did this subconsciously, as you don't have to even look for the squirrel very hard. It's like BAM! Have fun and try to get caught up on that lost sleep time. see ya next time.
