21 STORY Otis Series 5 Traction Elevators at Cayman Tower, Carribean Beach Resort, Myrtle Beach, SC

Filmed in March 2019.
After finding and filming the 20 STORY Otis Series 5's at my Hotel I stayed at (The Wyndham Towers on the Grove), you probably didn't think I'd find a TALLER Series 5 than those!!! Well, guess what? I DID!!! Although, these only goes up one more floor than the ones at the Wyndham and these are quite slow for 21 floors at only about 350 FPM. Still, this is definitely not at all something you see everyday, And with that said, I hope you enjoy the video, of these busy and rather basic, but decent elevators.

Me & my family going to Myrtle Beach this summer in August for a week! We will be staying here at the Caribbean Resort & Villas and we are renting a four bedroom condo in the Cayman Tower and I will be sure to upload a lot when I go to Myrtle Beach! This will be my 2nd time going to Myrtle Beach this summer after going to Myrtle Beach 10 years ago back in 2010 when we stayed at Coral Beach Resort Hotel & Suites which was also one of the nicer ones (probably renovated by now). These elevators and this hotel definitely seems like one of the nicest hotels on the main strip of Myrtle Beach! These elevators are probably some of the best maintained in Myrtle Beach too! I love the cabs and architecture of this resort! Nice video as always and keep up the outstanding work! :) Btw, how many times have you been to Myrtle Beach, and doesn’t this hotel have a 1960's Otis Black Button Elevator in the oldest building as seen in escalatorgeek881's "Caribbean Resort & Villas Elevator Movie"?

Floridian Elevators Are these Otis GEN2 MRL Traction Elevators or Otis Elevonic 411 Traction Elevators? And didn’t the Antique Otis Black Button Elevator in the Jamaican Building get an Otis Series M2 Modernization?

I know there is an even higher set of Otis Series 5. The Anderson Ocean Club has Series 5 that are 22 stories which is also in Myrtle Beach.

350 FPM is too slow for 21 floors. These should be at least 400-600 FPM.

Gen2 goes maximum speed of 500 fpm so they can't go 600 fpm.
