4:46: To clarify for Dark Souls 2 this isn’t how it works. The pursuers shown are in NG+ meaning you don’t even fight them normally. Getting cursed does NOT make them go away, the real way is to run out of the door and when one of them is in an attack animation come back in. This despawns the other pursuer because it only registers one enemy fighting in the room. I say this because I know some Bearer of the Curse will die from this

In I am Bread, if you die repeatedly, at some point a magic marmalade will spawn and if you reach it, you'll be invincible for the rest of the level

Heres an **Honorable Mention** , and its Armored Core 1 (PS1) Reward: Human-Plus How: Keep failing too much missions until you have a debt of -50,000 credits. A cutscene will play. Result was that the credits will reset back to zero but you can still keep the parts bought from the shop, and continue playing as normal. Try it out for yourself newbies, if you dont believe me

In several Mario games that have that "mercy" feature, seeing the game's mercy feature means that you are actually completely locked out of 100%; a fair bit of the time not even for *using* the feature, but merely for having it come up in the first place. As such, in those instances, I'd say that's more of a punishment for sucking than a reward for sucking.

In SMB Wii, with the Luigi one, if you click a button (+ or - i think) it will let you play AS Luigi. This does not change anything and normal rules apply. You change to Mario after the level.

The Lost Vikings 2 is a puzzle game(Sort of) for the Genesis and SNES. If you manage to die on the first level, which is actually impossible without trying(like literally), the game unlocks a super powered mode, which gives all the playable characters extra powers, mostly allowing you to skip some platforming and combat challenges throughout the game.

I think Ninja Gaiden applies, if you die too many times in the first level, you can unlock ninja dog mode and in that mode, anytime you get messages from Ayane, those messages come with unique items to help you in the game, mostly stat boosters and healing perks to be equipped. Downside is that you always get ninja dog rank whenever you finish a level, which is basically the worst score.

You even get offered the Easy Mode if you play on a harder difficulty in Ninja Gaiden Sigma, which is either humiliating or helpful if that's your first time playing Ninja Gaiden for the first time, cause that game is moderately difficult.

Just coming by to say Mario 3D Land does the same thing as Mario 3D World If you die 5 times then you'll get a white tanooki suit. However! If you somehow still fail to complete the level more times the p wing will appear allowing you to skip over the ENTIRE level and straight to the flag pole.

You forgot the Nuka-World DLC for Fallout 4. You get to be the new Overboss for the Nuka-World raiders, but what if you suck at the job? You know, by killing the raiders, slaughtering their leaders, and all around, turning on them makes them all want to kill you. If you manage to kill them all, you can turn in a quest called Open Season, and this quest grants you almost 1000xp, making it the most rewarding quest in the entire DLC.
