eric ortega Yes, it took a trip to Hennessey 's to get the Corvette to put they said a hundred shot of NOS or many be more to run 200 mph and sais it was show room stock ... but the mustang looked more stock to me with the small block ford what 302 ci.in or maybe a little more ... but then again they never claimed show room stock neither.

AleksSnipes I also had a 1979 PaceCar fox. Thats the one I refer to as my first car. It's also where I fell head over heels for the foxes of that era. 79-93 was the best of the worst " muscle car" world at that time. I have had new and old Crustangs, but I will always have a fox in my garage. That pace car I talked about died in 1995, I hit a concrete wall at about 58mph because it was outta control from a new sick and twisted motor I put in it, mind you I was a teenage boy back then, and my driving skills were far from worthy of a car with that kinda nut! Rest in peace old girl. She was my first love hahaha.

Had a 1985 GT, a 1988 GT and wife still has a 1989 LX 5.0 Sport convertible. You can't beat the performance for the buck from the Fox body Mustangs. Nice work....and I'm fine with the music :-)

The front number is a lx front number with a gary markiwich lower valance and is does effect the air flow the the rad, the brakes are stock at all 4 corners and yea its still a challenge with the parachute, the block is a 8.2 svo r block, thanks for all the views guys- TG

the car is very simple, 302 based motor with all hand-me-down parts, its has a YSi blower making 25lbs of boost, its makes a little over a 1000 rwhp and its very street able. - TG

You are right. It's an R302 aftermarket block filled with good forged stuff, worked Edelbrock heads, and a Vortech YSi from what I remember. Aftermarket block 302's can make 2500 horsepower in full drag race mode.

I was thinking the same thing, but I've had a nasty 351 based 393 on a stock t-5 and if you don't get full traction and don't speed shift 3rd, it'll live. 1000 horse is a big load, and I'm sure the torque is in the same ballpark. If you rev'd it to 4000 and dumped the clutch with 12" slicks, the trans might come visit you in the passenger area. But listen to the shifts: They are quick, but respectful. Nice car, good drive, and great result. Way to go!

No, Fikse have curves in them. They are Saleen wheels or a direct replica--look up Saleen wheels by Stern, Speedline also made these as well. Replicas are quite common now as Saleen SR replica wheels. You are thinking of the Speedline Saleen wheels that came on later models.

yes stock ecu (a9l) with a chip so we can spin it up, target rpm at the mile marker is 7500 rpms, and no its a 1/4 mile car also with a gear and transmission change - TG

gostrydr : The point that I was making was the 2014 Corvette was delivered to Hennessey ,and they put a 100 shoot of NOS on the engine, but it could have been more ,even a100 shoot of NOS you can no longer call the Vette show room stock at that point you call it modified . It was modified to go 200 mph at the Texas mile.

They make strong 4 lug axles...I thought it was funnier it still has stock brakes EEEEEEEK...parachute does most of the work I hope. Wheels are Saleen, from back in the day if my memory serves me correctly.

A 5.0L V8? 1000HP is a breeze with that procharger, I bet he upgraded the cam heads block vaulves everything to withstand being floored for a long time, that proabably got him up to 600-700HP and with that procharger setup depending what series it is, could easily add the 300-800 HP gap.
