Get it contact with me and/or support me directly via my Tazet profile: tazet.com/foureyes I know many of you are waiting for the boosted Mustang video and I’m in the middle of installing the centrifugal now (yes we’ll still turbo it). The format of the boosted Mustang video will mirror this one: install process > tune > race. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to cover and/or do during that video. And as mentioned above, if you have any questions for me or want to support me directly, check out my Tazet profile. These videos are expensive in both time and money, so every little bit helps more than you would think and of course is extremely appreciated. 🙏

You know what I like about this channel? The fact that this is a realistic channel. You have a few vehicles you like, your building them slowly and thinking about the steps thoroughly. But I can relate to these builds. And i like projects that evolve.

Mopar/Viper guy here. Awesome video as usual, I thought the Viper did really well against the Audi considering all the advantages it had. Back in the day, there were a few guys in the Viper scene that achieved 600-650++ whp naturally aspirated so it's certainly possible with the right setup and tune. A personal friend of mine drag raced a '99 RT-10 for a number of years that actually had the engine built by Lingenfelter after leaving Hennessey. It was a super high compression (14.5:1) 545CID that put out somewhere around 850-900 HP and ran a best 1/4 time of 9.43@150+. Pretty cool what the Gen2 engines are still capable of!

The reason the Audi did so well from a dig is because when it's in launch control mode with traction off and in dynamic mode the transmission goes into Amax mode where shifts are incredibly fast and slip with upshift engagement to cause some forward momentum. @@Four_EyesI found that in my Audi A6 which has a torque converter and my friends RS5 which has a DCT the shifts in dynamic are more violent, but they still have feel like they buffer a little on both cars when shifting just to keep things feeling smooth while driving, switching to the paddles in both cars makes the shifts very violent and shifts faster with zero buffer even with the torque converter in my car, likely why when Dustin switched to the paddles in the rolls the R8 performed a lot better.

6:13 Minor mistake made here, but it's a very simple thing to mend that helps a lot when doing future oil changes. ALWAYS lubricate the oil filter gasket with some new oil, if you don't then the gasket will basically fuze to the mating surface. A lubed gasket will still seal fine if properly tightened, while still allowing for some movement whenever you go to remove the old filter. A dry gasket will remain still, as you struggle to untighten the filter with the gasket not moving at all. (Source: 4+ years of experience changing oil on cars for work)
@Oroborus710
@Oroborus710 29 күн бұрын
I should also add, while this is probably a trivial thing to most people it is a very simple step to take to save yourself from future struggle when doing regular maintenance on your car. Ask any old gear-head if you should lube the oil filter gasket, they will all give you the same answer (unless they are incompetent)

1" drive torque wrench to bust a crank bolt free. My guy, let us send you a proper impact wrench
@Four_Eyes
@Four_Eyes 29 күн бұрын
what torque wrench do you recommend in general? balance of accuracy and longevity?
@MediumHalf
@MediumHalf 29 күн бұрын
@@Four_Eyes Sounds like they're gonna send you something, but since I saw this: torque wrenches are for tightening, not loosening. For loosening, an impact wrench (or, on the cheap or in tight spaces, a breaker bar) is the right tool for the job. I suspect Torque Test Channel will recommend a Milwaukee Fuel 1/2" drive impact wrench. Using a torque wrench as a breaker bar risks compromising its accuracy for the job it's meant for.
@TorqueTestChannel
@TorqueTestChannel 29 күн бұрын
@Four_Eyes agreed. It's probably fine what you have to tightening to a spec. But pull of a trigger to remove something like that saves a lot of fuss. Shoot us an address torquetestchannel@gmail.com

Dude, good driving. To handle a Viper with no traction control has got to be one of the hardest cars to launch. That low end torque is *unusual* and is a fucking beast to manage. Well done man. Even Carroll Shelby had good things to say about the Viper. Baddassest cars for sure

Almost 20 years ago a vendor brought his viper by my office and thew me the keys. I drove it while he stayed and flirted with my secretary. I took it to a desolate road and hit it. When I saw that I was doing 110 while shifting into 3rd gear I said nah I'd kill myself with this thing. I'm used to driving an F250. It felt like a go kart. Ass 6" off the road. More power to you. God bless.
