When setting the valve , silly simple but you can always check to make sure the next size up doesn't fit once done to verify it's right. My father burned alot of mechanical stuff my head growing up lol

That is a good tip! Alot of people set lash different some go for zero lash cold some set at .003 like I did in the video and I haven't seen many if any but they might set it to what the 212 manual says which is .004-.006 on the intake and .006-.008 on exhaust. So if you get a .003 with drag and double check after a few rotations it should be ok..

That works as long as u get compression release and are happy with it!

Man this was awhile ago. I would imagine without watching the video again these engines are stock with governors intact. So they would have the stock springs in them.

I'm trying to figure out a rocker setup on my hemi bottom end non hemi head swap...u got some china champions off Amazon and looks like they need lash caps but lash caps don't work on my ss valves...

I put this non hemi head on with stock non hemi rockers and push rods. Since I've done this I have built a 224 with ss valves they came with billet spring retainers and automotive style locks and lash caps.
