We binged watched your last 3 films last night Patrick as we've been on holiday abroad, but I'm not complaining they're there as and when we can watch. Thank you for the Pennine Way memories, all that rugged moorland takes me well back, fantastic films as always and a pleasure to watch. We had a nice couple of hours in Matlock yesterday and a lovely cuppa in the park, we did keep an eye open just in case you were around, all the best.

Some lovely views on this walk, Patrick. The spaced out reservoirs make for a pleasant landscape, with the views of Marsden and Huddersfield in the distance. With there being quite some rainfall this year, all the reservoirs are topped up, but I wonder what the scene was like last year. West Nab looks spectacular, with the rock formation there, and it was well worth your climb up there. Many thanks again, Patrick, for this lovely presentation.

We have walked these reservoirs before but on the lower Pennine Way path ..great to see this higher alternative and is already going onto the planner here. Another great video Patrick.( A little story about Black Hill :) Back in 1977 it was a glutinous peat bog that went up to your knees. On the Queen's silver jubilee they built a huge bonfire right next to the trig point that was to be lit at midnight. It was an horrendous night, blowing a gale with torrential rain. Picture the scene at 1am in pitch blackness, about 1,000 hardy stalwarts (idiots) gathered around a roaring bonfire, soaked to the skin singing "There'll always be an England". Remember it like yesterday.

It looked quite a bleak wintery day for July. I didn't recognise the beginning of the walk but having walked Wessenden Valley a while back now, I did know the reservoirs and possibly waterfalls. There are so many varied routes up around Wessenden but Marsden is easy for to reach. Glad you worked out the mileage beforehand. Lovely atmospheric synth, piano and minor chords in your music. Very nice route Patrick.

A somewhat sacred end to a spectacular walk Patrick. I couldn't help but notice all the old estate infrastructure (stone bridges Etc) along the way and think of a bygone era. This was a spectacular walk eh Mark. I loved those old infrastructures, all relating to feeds between the reservoirs. It was a good day weatherwise, just one or two quick heavy showers, but nothing to spoil the day. I did manage to get back off West Nab before it got too stormy 😀 Thanks again Mark for watching. Sorry I've not had a chance to catch up with your latest upload as yet, but hope to either tonight or tomorrow. All the best 👍

A very familiar area for me. The lower waterfall you were told about is worth seeing. West Nab is a well-known flint site, used as a lookout point by mesolithic hunter-gatherers, along with Pule Hill which frequently was in view above Marsden as you were heading north down Wessenden (definitely -zz- for locals). Pity the Isle of Sky pub, where you parked, is long gone, or you could have called in for a well-earned drink at the end. Thanks Patrick for another fine film.

Morning Michael. I must get to see that waterfall at some point. Thanks for confirming the pronunciation, I had heard another KZbinr say "Wezzenden", but I wasn't too sure. Jeez, that was some walking. You could have done without the hill at the end, as you were tired out by then. You do far more walking than the stated mileage too. To get that ladder shot, you had to brave them a few times. Then other shots of you walking along the trail but it was worth it, as it was excellent. The old bridge by the waterfall looks a great place to paint a picture. Loads of reservoirs of various sizes and old bridges, that look ancient. The weather in July this year was appalling but you stuck it out. How do you keep the camera dry? With the elements and the varied hillside on the walk, you did great. Lovely views and a small town thrown in too. Exceptional as always and accompanying music. 🎶 Cheers Patrick, hope you're doing well

It was a good day's walking and filming Kelly, but I was determined to get up that hill at the end. Thankfully there wasn't much climbing overall on the route.
