Thank you for the walk through,Ron. Cute little house. Whoever flipped it did a nice cleanup job. The kitchen….idk, maybe the new owner can live with it.🤷🏻♀️Me, I’d get rid of the dining room and expand the kitchen. To each his own.

You're welcome! Yes, the kitchen is a bit small so opening it up to the dining room is a great idea!

Is there space for the dishwasher to open fully once the stove is in place? It is a small but quaint doable space to live for a small family or single person. The fence gate needs to be fixed to keep animals safe in the yard.

Good catch on the dishwasher/stove! It does look like it will be a tight fit. Thanks for the feedback.🙂

I’d certainly invest in a privacy fence. Who wants to look at the neighbor’s mess? I would open a door to the kitchen on the back side of the house and close off the front facing side door and extend the kitchen into that side porch space. It’s inconvenient having to walk from the car port to the side or front door, especially at night. They would’ve been wise to paint all the rooms in the neutral tan color instead of that dark blue. That is a very specific taste that won’t appeal to the majority of people. You’re painting to sell, not choosing your personal preferences. Cute home. Has lots of potential, especially if the kitchen were reconfigured.

Thanks for the great feedback and ideas! 100% agree! The new buyers just closed on it, so we'll see what improvements they might make. :)

The house being next to a junkie neighbor and unkept house would be a deal breaker for me. The corner lot is nice and the little house is cute though it certainly needs a lot more updating. Thank you for showing the good, the bad and the ugly but also the potential.

How well neighbors keep the exterior of their home maintained can definitely influence a potential buyer. Thanks for your feedback and encouragement. 🙂

Nice big lilac bush! Needs updating, painting inside and out, lanscaping, a grass seeding, and l hope the previous owners pick up their tires and junk out of the yard. I'd open the fireplace-if there was one-or put one in. Great house. Not real excited about the apartment across the street, but could live with it. Hope the new owners have happy times there!

Thank you! Yes, it really is a great little home for the price. :)

I like the porch and I like the wooden floors.

I live in a small little 690 square-foot house built 1900. Some along the line they put in central air and I 100% would prefer it over the electric heaters baseboard heat. You can always just close vent if you don’t want to heat a room. That would be an investment that I think would be well worth it in this house.
@roncastro71683 ай бұрын
Good point! In addition to your observations, in Idaho electric baseboard heaters tend to be more expensive to run than a gas-powered central furnace. Of course, it all depends on how often the appliance is used. Wow, 1900 - that's 124 years old! I'd say your home has stood the test of time many decades over and over! Wonder how long the homes they build today will last??

Amazing what a nice bright coat of white paint would do to that basement.

It’s charming, and would be at least $350k in Portland.

Thanks for the feedback! At time of listing it was definitely one of the lower priced "move-in ready" homes in the Twin Falls market. Thanks for pointing out that it would be much higher priced in Portland. Real estate values really do vary depending on the local market, supply and demand, etc. 🙂

That is a ridiculous price
@roncastro71683 ай бұрын
Home prices have certainly escalated over the past few years, but prices vary from state to state and city to city. In our city, anything under 200K that's stick-built is going to be a fixer upper. Hopefully prices will go down or our paychecks will go up! Thanks for the feedback.

It must have plaster walls because they covered everything in paneling.
@roncastro71683 ай бұрын
It was built in 1915, so you are likely correct about plaster walls. Can be difficult to repair but they are sturdy! :)

Thanks for the feedback! There's possibly room to add a bathroom and/or bedroom in the basement. It just sold a couple of days ago so we'll see what the new owners do with it! Yes, prices have certainly gone up in the last few years, especially here in Idaho.
