@@demonkingtengoku9034 My lord. A remaster is simply getting an old game or existing game doing slight edits such as upgraded visual. A remake is a retelling of an old game build from the ground up. A remaster is simply a port. A sonic riders remaster would be sonic riders with better graphics. A riders remake would mean new Sonic riders based on the old one being built up from the ground up. New things could be implemented and other things. That would include remade graphics, different voice actors and other stuff.

Every racing game where the difference in characters was the vehicle type (and thus play style) always was absolute peak to play. Kirby's Air Ride did the same thing. Really wish more games would do that and not just "This car accelerates better but is slow, while this one is fast but has poor handling OH and good luck with sand baggers and item luck". PURE SKILL wins you Sonic Riders and Kirby's Air Ride.

Technically EVERYONE can use the Darkness skates, they use slightly less air per boost and passively but have worse traction. Though it was interesting Shadow is the only one without a default Board. (Technically Eggman's E-bike can be used by anyone too but given he's can only ride bikes....). Hehe but Shadow was one of 4 characters with the "Elongated Boost" so he's still top tier.

Well, if you turn off the levels, it actually becomes somewhat of a challenge. Since a big part of the game is, levelling up, getting a full air bar and then just boosting off ahead of the AI. But if you pace yourself well it shouldn't be tough.

Shadow banned from competitive for being too OP. XD (acutally he probably would. He, Aiai, Tails and Sonic (at level 2 or higher) get something called "Extended boost" where thier boost lasts far longer than other characters, allowing them to maintain that top speed. Plus Shadow's Chaos Control orb is one of the deadliest attacks in the game. So technically he IS top tier. Though you can argue Tails and the metal bike, NiGHTS and the Cover F, and Storm and the Powerful (Storm is the fastest heavy type despite what the stats say) and if you're able to keep the lead, Cream and the Light gear (has the longsest boost duration in the game due to her light weight) are the best, but I'm just geeking out. XD

@@stickydino Nah for the PS4 too! I would love it if SEGA ported over their 6th and 7th Gen PS2 and PS3 era Sonic games onto the PS4. I don't want to just play Mania, Forces, and TSR all the time either. Luckily, however I still own a Wii that's backwards compatibile with GameCube games and a Xbox 360 to play these titles, but it would be nice to play them on current gen as well.

Game is game! Love the Risk/Reward nature of the tornado. use most of your air and stop for a second, but hit your opponents with a really nasty attack if they try to catch you. This game required PURE SKILL to be good and gosh it felt GOOD! No gimmicks, no sang bagging, no "watch video and suddenly be the best online" like a certain OTHER Racing franchise....(coughMarioKartcough) oooh got sand in my throat....

This video is proof that an on-foot Sonic racing game could work. The boost games are basically arcade racers anyway, just translate that into a format like Riders and you're set. You could even have the Babylon Rogues or Shadow using his bike and still make it work. Using Sonic's speed as an excuse to put him in a car is silly, especially when previous Sonic games have had him race other characters on foot.

My sonic riders dosen't work! I have windows 7 and I have tried putting it into compatable for windows xp and windows 2000 but it won't work! The launcher starts up as normal and I can fix settings and all that, but when I click play, the launcher goes down and nothing happens. (Not even an error message) Can anyone help me?
