Thanks for the kind words. I do have an idea lined up for the next few weeks (on mandolin). Good luck with the new mandolin! Joey

thanks for posting. I'm like you - mainly a guitar player, but have a mandolin. You confirmed what I was thinking for the outro, with that little additional two note ending. Song is in the key of D so it's right to start with D on the 3rd strings and work up. I didn't know the intro, so that's nice to also have now.

Oh thanks for watching and the feedback. When you do these things, you always have little doubts about how good it was, whether I should have done this or that better, etc. Cheers, Joey

Thanks John, I really appreciate that. I am giving a thought to going through the book I mention in the video, which contains about 20 songs for mandolin. Cheers, Joey.

Good on yer mate. I have spent ages trying to find those tabs! Look forward to seeing more. Steve Earle appears to write fairly easy mandolin songs if you get fed up with those in the book.

Thanks Joey. Thanks for printing out the music. You are doing very well for a beginer, so being a guitar player must be a big help. I hope your fingers hurt !. Brian

Hi Joey thanks for the tab sheets i am a Ukulele player( still learning) and we play Maggie occasionly and with Uke strings being G4 C3 E2 A1 i am following your outro sheet and it sounds ok, never the less its good practice with the plectrum and the very fine strokes involved , much appreciated maybe i will put my hand in my pocket and buy a Mandolin but i also like the Banjo as well, decisions decisions.

Hi John, thanks for watching and for the comment. These are personal decisions of course, it's more a fluke that I ended up owning a mandolin, but I'm happy I have one because it's so different to a guitar. I guess longer term, the answer is that you end up owning both a mandolin and a banjo! 😀
