Modern Warfare II Review Part 2 | A Game With No Point

Modern Warfare II excels in so many areas. It has one of the longest EULAs Ive seen this year, the least effective anti-cheat Ive experienced since the Division 1, and such insane instability that it must have frankly been a deliberate design feature. Sadly however, in many other less critical areas like the multiplayer and the campaign, it has failed to deliver. It DOES have a nice Christmas outfit in the microtransaction shop though. That must count for something right?

I'm a super casual player, because I have a busy life and lots of hobbies, so I think this game is really balanced for me. I get a bare minimum of the nonsense, and get the COD fun. I could never, ever play these games seriously, and honestly this will probably be the last one I buy.

I now know you're alive, and that's what I was actually concerned about. :D I've only seen the Cavill stuff via the Drinker and Disparu, but it seems to have had a happy ending in terms of Warhammer stuff. Assuming there's nobody who can and will override Cavill with bad ideas and that he and the team he assembles actually have the chops to do a cinematic universe right (I can't imagine it's easy), fun times ahead. I love WH40K in small doses, much like hard rock music. As for the other projects that have discarded the man... good luck to them, I guess? I really don't care. Everybody knows what's really going on; we'll see who's still working in 10 years.

Helicopter taking 6 tank shots is hillarious. I also love that most of game developers think that modern tanks shoot munitions with velocity similar to WW1 howitzers. For comparison during Desert Storm "modern" munitions (ofc we are talking about apsfds here) were proven to be effective during encounters at ranges up to 4km.

The thing about the M4 and M16 being named properly as opposed to all the other guns is that ATVI have sposorship deals with the U.S. Military. The Army and Air Force have sponsored CoD events throughout the years. CoD is basically used as a soft recruitment tool in the U.S.

I've often wondered how this skill based matchmaking that causes soooo much controversy, can possibly put me in matches that result in me always being the worst or second worst in the lobby. So as far as the SBMM goes, I'm not a bad player but I'm only slightly above average. I get rubber banded between horrific lobbies where I think people are playing with SNES controllers and what I am convinced are lobbies populated by prospective Pro players. Doesn't bother me though, because I played COD back in the day, where that was normal. I've gone 90-10 and 12-55. So that's my experience.

I can't believe I'm saying this but there was something about Vanguards multiplayer that I actually enjoyed and kept playing for a solid amount of time. I bought the vault edition for mw2 (Laugh at me) and I Literally cannot stand playing the games multiplayer anymore. I beat the campaign, but only for skins and tokens. After I finished the battlepass I just felt nothing from playing the game. Whether you win or not is completely determined by the matchmaking that seems to have a hell engine powering it's spite fueled necessity to keep you locked in at 0.81-1.0 KD AND winrate. Which is actually flawed because Your match SCORE is what influences a lot of the matches you enter. So I get to play with the guys in neon MLG outfits, jumping around corners with zero flinch SPRs all because I actually play objective which usually puts me at the top of my teams scoreboard despite even if I'm going negative. TL:DR: I have the big salt, Couldn't keep playing after two months.

It really does have a vast number of hackers. Its shocking. Two thirds of players admitted using hacks in one poll I saw. Not one third here. Cod is basically bot versus bot these days. A shame as otherwise the big map games would be great. The perk thing sucks like hell and the afk is really annoying and the small maps you can spam kil streaks when you get on a role to the point it gets ridiculous. The maps are so small even at the largest. They are just really badly designed for the most part

I've definately experienced the matches were it seems that I'm just up against a whole team of total pros. I'm pretty casual on COD and just jump in for a few rounds a night or less. I don't understand why I'm put into matches with players way above my own grade. I'm level 45, but for some reason sometimes I'm in matches were every other player is over 200 and jumping around every corner and just one shotting me point blank with a sniper rifle. Skill based matchmaking is apparently not taking into account my poor skills, LOL.

I've been enjoying your vids since the Division. It's refreshing to hear a man who knows weapons as well. Game makers have no fucking idea. The lmg in FC6 shows the rounds on the belt before they enter the breach and fire, as already having the firing pin mark on the cartridge detonator. Look it up. Shotgun performance is laughable in every game. Sub machine guns I outperform assault rifles, lmg's do no damage or are wholly inaccurate. You know all this stuff, that's why I appreciate your content.

Now I have no interest in talking to anybody online at all, I have a very dry and somewhat morbid sense of humour which I've found won't land in the modern word war climate. If you have a PC hop on BO2 on steam. There's not many people playing and the lobbies are usually quiet but you better take cover when it gets heated. One guy with a riot shield and C4 was all it took for everyone in the lobby to man up, unmute their mics and start shittalking likes theres no tommorow

Dunno about other modes but in DMZ every gun plays the exact role the are given. Take a shotty to clear out Strongholds- AI who need full mag drop by 1-2 shots from shotty. MGs- give the hell to AI on distance(or even supress enemy team down with 150mag). SMG- to jump around corners for quick takedowns. Assault rifles- push on front line of your team. Snipers- 1 shot basicly anybody out of any other guns range (50m+) I finally understand when people talk about less guns in the game. In BF42 I could care less if there was 2 or 20 guns, they all can play all the roles- from shotty to long range sniping(100m+). In COD MW2 every single gun feels so distinct, playing the game just for gun play is pure fun. And the more guns the more fun. Whilst in WZ1, it was always meta this and meta that and if you wanted to play the gun you liked, you could just go into the game and drop ur guns and stand in middle of the road- hoping someone would kill you at least in some fun way like driving over you...

They include modern warfare 2 to ps5 bundles. Not in the ps5 box, so they tack the game separately on top of the ps5. You can't buy the bundled ps5 separate of the game. Bundle only sold ps5. So that might be inflating the sales of this game. I got my ps5 recently, and the game is going to stay wrapped up to collect dust on my shelf.

The main problem with this game is that there isnt anything cool to unlock, while its trying to be like other games. Theres not really any cool cosmetics, animations, or weapons unlocked through progress. I think thats the biggest issue, you gotta pay for cool stuff. "Why put any effort/drive into something, in a product you already purchased, when you can just give them your card information within the product?"

Holy panda : AK-47 They are both at this point more than the og model, they are a concept, an idea, a set of boxes to check and some basic coloring to adhere to. I think this is a good thing. Many copies are crappy but not all, some may even outshine. Example would be the forgeries in the ancient world of coins considered most widely circulated per capita/person , there are examples in museums and private collections of Roman coinage of higher quality and craftsmanship than what rome's mints were capable of putting out. I've seen them in Toronto in a museum next to each other as well as in the collection of a dealer in the same area from an area of Scotland in less familiar with. He explained why these extremely well done forgeries came to be but this long enough and that is ultimately not my point, just a little fun facts I guess.

Just for anyone who is curious, and since he mentioned it: assault rifles are actually a thing. They are select fire rifles, chambered in an intermediate cartridge, and typically fed from a box magazine. But the 3 big points are that they possess more than one selector firing position, and are chambered in the right caliber type.
