Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Review | Pandering to everyone except the hardcore players

Call of Duty is like the happy meal of the video games industry: reasonably priced, slightly stale before its even unwrapped, but reliable in its mediocrity. This years offering however, was even more mediocre than usual. Significant bugs, major weapon imbalances, and Skill Based Matchmaking that is so aggressive, it has started to trick EVEN ME into thinking that I am not functionally useless. CoD Blops CW seems to be pandering to everyone apart from its core. loyal player community.

The Uzi (family) and the Socimi Type 821 are not actually the same gun, it is a different size, has a shorter barrel, a slower rate of fire, a completely different stock and so on. It's not a bad choice for a videogame though - the slower rate of fire means you don't eat through the magazine's rounds as quickly.

That comment you made about the Marine Corps and inclusivity really struck a nerve with me. I enlisted back in 2013 and we were already getting officers who were talking like PR talking heads about our feelings and being nice to each other. The Drill Instructor, on the other hand, kept it real when the officers were gone. You know; the whole insults and shouting to increase the stress you experience. Haven't met anyone that's enlisted recently, but I can imagine that things have gotten more soft since all the older Marines I met afterwards would sometimes bemoan how relaxed and weak that social justice has made our bootcamp experience. Even now I've seen recruiting ads specifically doing Captain Marvel levels of women empowerment fantasies.

As someone who got out of the Corps in 2019 I can fully confirm how horribly soft we've gotten all across the board, how cultural Marxism and feminism has infiltrated our ARMED FORCES (literally the last place on earth it should've gotten through to), granted I had an amazing SDI and good DI's who wipe their dick with people's feelings and "inclusivity" but that didn't minimize it for the other platoons/companies (especially the female ones)... Lol you can quite literally just quit boot camp now with virtually no repercussions whatsoever, tell the corpsman you're feeling "depressed" and *booom* next day you're talking to a Navy psychiatrist and going home within 2 weeks (which 4 kids in my boot platoon did) 🥴 Fuck man, when the GWOT kicked off young guys were CLAMBERING to be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan, testosterone was flying all over the place, and the only way you were getting off that island is by graduation or (at least attempted) suicide 👀

I knew that I was right for not buying the marketing of an AAA game. A game with Bezmenov's ideas would get banned everywhere. Activision loves the almighty dollar over anything, so it's no surprise to see them sell out with a product that says absolutely nothing substantial at all. unlocked gold camo for it now ... Despite its many flaws, the M60 hits like a truck and has huge ammo capacity. On the down side, its less accurate than me, has a horrible recoil profile, and the ADS time must be as long or longer than some reload times on SMGs (not even kidding)

CoD not being toxic is like Twitter not being humanity's cesspool/the internet's version of New Jersey: it's not possible. The CoD community has a reputation for a reason. But Cold War looks like it's trying to pull some BF 5 shenanigans and attempt to fuck up the game somewhat and attempt to interject wokeness into a tard wrangling program. And after they nerf the MP5 into being the firearm equivalent of a conscientious objector, they will probably unknowingly create another meta gun to take its place. Maybe DICE can break away from EA, take Battlefield back and make Bad Company 3 like everyone wanted to undo the fuckery of 5 to make Treyfinityhammer Softward push itself to make a better product. And yes, I combined Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Raven Software into one because fuck it.

I've only ever played Cold War for the Campaign. Its not the best (neither was MW 2019 for that matter), but it had potential. Opposed to blaming actual war crimes committed by us (USA, UK, etc) on Russia. Multiplayer in either of these new games is a shit show. I like gun builder, but everything else is just horror.

The sad reality is that my channel is shadow banned. Only today someone I personally KNOW informed me that they had been unsubscribed from the channel by KZbin. KZbin vehemently deny they are doing it, but the most recent case was one of my actual Patreon supporters. I also periodically get falsely accused of nefarious "hate crimes" by KZbin. Eventually I always successfully appeal because the accusations are entirely fabricated. But during this time my channel gets crushed. At the end of the day, KZbin hired Arch Troll, Anita Sarkeesian to work on its "anti-harrassment" team which is pretty much certification that any semblance of free expression is not welcome on the platform. All this being said, thank you for your kind words. I would rather be unpopular and honest, than a successful shill.

Best most honest review I've seen in a long time take notes this is what review should be... gets crazy about mini guns used on would be civilians in game but to make a point. +1:20 OHHHHHH I want that Gamecube Keyboard so badly.. (is that even real) - something like that for the Dreamcast might even have been "useful" come to think of it - I have had some quite small keyboards in the past (no number pads) and they'd have worked for this layout - it's wacky - but it might have some slightly crazy practicality to it for some VERY SPECIFIC games. I've certainly wished that keyboards with laptop style navigation pads were a lot more common as they'd be so darn useful as a generic internet tool and I wouldn't keep loosing my mouse under the desk that way. Oh and I went a looked and not only is that real - it also seems that there is a Joycon modern version for the Nintendo Switch controllers to plug on too as well. I love novelty controllers.. even when they are a bit daft.

53:00 random scatter in order to be more likely to hit enemies with shit aim sounds exactly like another gambling based shooter called CS:GO. The entire premise of the gunplay is that everything from movement to shooting affects your spray pattern while it also slaps a randomized variable on top of that for good measure, it works really well i have to say you can aim at someones feet and score headshots with multiple weapons from what i have tested before i dropped the game from boredom.

This game is so disappointing for pc hardcore players the controls are clunky especially the aim over weapon if you have it on toggle it gets cancelled a lot of times. and the enemy's spawning behind you lol. en controller people with aim assist using snipers...... This channel is a GEM keep growing!

if COD is too demanding on your system, you can always go back to battlefail 4. the game is so bad at using resources, that i an literally play with a 56k modem and running several renders in the background driving my craptop to the 98% cpu and gpu usage and STILL dont feel any impact in bf4...

That campaign ending really ruined the experience for me. I grew up with Metal Gear and even the original Black Ops on my ol' PS3 so I can get behind stories like BoCw's, but when the payoff makes no sense or is so blatantly bad it doesn't feel right, that can make or break a game's story and it broke this game's story for me. Also, zombies ain't what it used to be and I really have no desire to try out Multiplayer by myself.

Yeah the XP throttling is insane. I mainly focused on the M60 and hit second prestige before Gold Camo I think. Im not a CoD scientist, but Im pretty sure you shouldnt have to play for a week JUST to max out ONE gun ffs. (even at my asstard skill level)

@@21Kiloton it's not just you. It reminds me of throttling in Battlefield V. Tho Rank 4 gave you all specs for a gun, you had to max lvl it, THEN do special assignments that were ridiculous. I'm sure this is all geared toward getting the player to spend money not unlock it. Even way back when, like Battlefield 1 or 4 for ex: you could buy the vase weapons, and kits. But extras like FN 200, or UCAV you had to do under ridiculous circumstances.
