Modern Warfare II is a video game. Not a particularly good one but at least they managed to be bothered to half finish it. I guess this is what happens when you are sitting on one of the most lucrative IPs in the video games industry, and you know that churning out any old nonsense will spin a fast buck. So you dial it in and move on.

In regards to the unrealistic nature of the campaign... In the second mission, you embark on a covert strike mission in Nowhereaki, Middle East with the help of a MARSOC team. The insertion takes place about 50 meters from the target location, and the chosen method of insertion is a CH-53 heavy lift cargo helicopter, which requires a massive landing zone, makes as much noise as an English football game, and has the maneuverability of a brick. After inserting the first team, the CH-53 then flies directly over the target building at a comically low altitude, and is shot down by an MPADS, killing most of the second squad and the pilots.The player's team advances on foot, relying mostly on the player to do the heavy lifting, because they all have the accuracy of pissing homeless people despite being special forces operators with a similar level of training. And despite the operation having rapidly gone south, no call for QRF is made, so the payer's team has to complete the mission by themselves. In the end, you achieve your objective, with the loss of no less than 10 MARSOC operators and flight crew, having only managed to destroy a small terrorist cell in return. The planning, execution and results of this mission were abysmal to a similar degree as that of Operation Redwings. If this mission happened in real life, it would be regarded as a disaster. Whoever planned the whole thing would have been reprimanded, demoted, fired, or even arrested. The political and public backlash would be immense. And the op would be taught to generations of officers afterwards as a good example of how exactly to screw everything up. And yet COD acts like it's just another day on the job.

Ironically enough, "leaks" for the game well over a year ago were saying it'd be "much darker and more graphic" than 2019's installment, that there'd be mechanics like weapon jamming/bullet impacting HP differently depending where the bullets hit you and what caliber they were, that there'd be critical decisions to make in-game that impact future events and a sort of "morality system," i.e. killing a guy with a hostage but the hostage dies or accidentally shooting a civvie, were also told it'd basically be Sicario 2 'the game' which it very hardly was, disappointments all across the damn board with this one that's for sure.

9:00 Apparently in case of lag/high latency, a "server predict system" kicks in: no matter what you do, the server predicts and decides the "most likely outcome". Many speculate it's just a fraction of the SBMM system punishing people for "doing well" in favor of kids/bad players. The scorestreak "issues" may well be another part of said system.

For me personally, I think the Campaign is lackluster at best. It didn't really "Wow!" me in the same way that MW19 did. From what I can see, they ARE actually making campaign DLC for it, so that's good. But I digress. I think the Multiplayer, however, is amazing. It's some of the best fun I've had in a Call of Duty game since World War 2. Obviously it's nothing like the old MW2, but it's close enough for a remake, and I can't complain too much considering the direction of the Multiplayer for the past few releases. Overall it's a solid 7/10 from me, I'd hope it'd be more than just dumb fun like Cold War but it's still pretty good imo for what it is. Let's hope CoD titles get better going forward, now that the yearly release schedule is up and Bobby Suck-My-Kodick will (presumably) be fired once the acquisition goes through this summer!

Always look forward to your videos, kilotonman. I tried out Days Gone this week since it's been in the back of my mind from you talking about it. I've always known about it because I know the history of the developers in detail - they were the original developers of the Syphon Filter franchise, and the game is full of little outright references to it. "IPCA Tech", IPCA being Logan's agency from games 4, 5, and 6. There's a C8 Rifle, which was the best gun in Syphon Filter Omega Strain, there's the Taser, of course. It's an extremely impressive open world game that doesn't waste your time, I feel like. I enjoy how intently designed the main character was: Deacon comments on everything and anything. It feels purpose-built and deliberately constrained to keep focus. I'm always wary of any sequel from any company, but I'd keep an eye out for whatever John Garvin wants to do next, for sure. Even though Sony these days is busily self-annihilating.

As far as I remember, Molotov Cocktails were named by the Finnish after the russian foreign minister Molotov, who called the russian bomber planes over Finland during the Winter War humanitarian transports dropping food for their "starving" neighbours. anyone has to explain me this: you go to a car dealership buy a car and you get a full - running car. I mean - playing this game (logic) , you would go to a car dealership, then they hand you a key - but your car has at the beginning only 3 Wheels and no Steering Wheel. The gasoline tank is only a small bottle which comes separately and then they say, well the rest you will get in due time? The following month a guy calls to install the 4th wheel for a immense surcharge + which includes a 2nd bottle for gasoline. 6 month later - the steering wheel comes. Then you realize the GPS which comes with the prize is not showing the actual map - but just some random pictures of the globe. AND STILL - we are going to the dealership because we love that brand....I mean who is sick - we the consumer or the producer?

Cars are special case too. Ever wonder why you go to a dealership which sells the specific brand you want? If you want to buy a can of soup you don't go to a Campbell's dealership, you go to a supermarket where Campbell's completes with all the other brands. I'm thinking that in the early days of cars the situation was about what you described. Because what was the alternative, a horse you need to house, feed, groom, and exercise everyday? A steam powered train that ran twice a day and dropped you off 50 miles from your destination? So hopefully the situation with games is temporary; eventually people will figure out that there are better alternatives out there, you just have to shop around a bit to find them.

It was revealed in this game that Laswell has done some field op work before, giving credit to the idea that they would allow her to come along on missions. This was never mentioned in the first game, but it was also never mentioned in the first game that she has no field experience either but I think it is safe to assume that we all figured this skinny unassuming looking woman was a desker. They just needed her to get kidnapped in a " realistic " way so they retconned her backstory. I am massive camping claymore guy too, even have restock and ammo box's in my loadout so I never run of claymores lol camping is an art mate.

You have to be good at math by calculating distance, wind velocity, speed, bullet drop. Also knowing information such as a standard window height is 3ft. By knowing this information you can measure the window using the scope and calculate distance to target. Camper gang represent. Skill means jack shit. All you've gotta do is exploit everything and master camping and spam. This is a strategy that has worked in video games since Counter Strike 1.6, and is still very effective today.
