New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 100
Communism hasn't died, despite what many would have you believe. It has evolved and adapted for the 21st century. What you see under the CCP in China, that's the Chinese Communist Party, today and what we deal with under ESG and the UN Agenda 2030 in the West is 21st Century Communism, which appears to fulfill Marx, not contradict him, at least in certain ways. In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay spends a few minutes to explain to you how Communism is presenting in the 21st century and what it means for us and our fight for our and our children's liberty.

That term isn't going to convince anyone who isn't already on your side. The average joe is just going to say "no one is looking to abolish private property, least of all corporations, therefore this isn't communism." I think it's better to call it either "woke fascism" as someone else suggested in a comment, or just call it woke authoritarianism / corporate authoritarianism.

@@caseyjudson1062 Fascism is what Socialism naturally becomes over time if it is to survive. Mussolini, who coined the term "Fascism" explicitly promoted these ideas, started out as an avowed Socialist. What James Lindsey is noting in this video is that this is happening all over: Communism/Socialism becoming Fascism. The main ideological concession is that you co-opt businesses instead of outlaw them, at which point all those evil Capitalists are now are your side. "Fascism is just honest Socialism" is just a pithy way to describe this phenomenon without getting lost in the weeds of nitpicky definitions.
@uumlau

@@caseyjudson1062 It's a pithy way of describing what James Lindsey articulates in much more detail. Mussolini started out as an avowed Socialist before coining the phrase "Fascism". Turns out that it wasn't just Mussolini, but pretty much every country that wants to establish Socialism/Communism either has to "co-opt Capitalism" or die out in the long run.

I wish we would call it Woke Fascism. Fascism has a much much more perjorative ring to it. Students wear communism as a badge of honour. If you read the dictionary definition of fascism and swap out the word Nationalist for Globalist its a pretty good fit.The collaboration of all state and cooperate institutions to eliminate political opposition. China now is far less oligarchic and more of a dictatorship than it was under Deng, or Jiang.

Fascism has always been socialism. Every time socialism fails, the socialist claim "oh, but that wasn't real socialism", and that's why they call fascism "far right". Today, after the failure of maduro in Venezuela, the socialist apologizers are claiming that it failed because it was "extreme capitalism".

This occurred to me too when I decided to deep dive on fascism from the fascists perspective. Up to this point i was studying them from the fascism is evil angle and its skewed from communist historians perspective which just sets out to demonize it. When i did it this way the similarities to "socialism" was unavoidable and i had that epiphany that it's all socialism in origin. Its just different interpretations of collectivist ideology. Once i saw it you can easily see the US is already running the same model as china is. This was FDRs and the early progressive thinkers genius to get it started right under our noses. The democrats are not liberals they are actually progressives. Oh yeah and so were the Republicans. Its very gard to tell the difference between Hoover and FDR when you stop to inspect it.

One important factual correction: in the PRC, "one country two systems" refers to the approach taken to Hong Kong and the transfer of sovereignty in 1997, attempting to reconcile one sovereign entity with two political/social/economic systems. It was laid down in the Basic Law, and allowed HK to function as a special autonomous region. Until it didn't. The approach to liberalization in China - township and village enterprise reform and SEZs on the coasts was a sliding scale of reform and opening up. What worked in Shenzhen would not necessarily work in Xiamen, ditto places with enterprise to reform like in Zhejiang and Jiangsu, and places where there was no starting point of economic assets at all. PS Macau was brought back under one country two systems terms in 99, and the overall approach was said to be an inducement to Taiwan. Not much of that sentiment remains.

I love Mr. Lindsay and he taught me great things about woke communism but the Nazis snd Fascists didn't privatize anything, and there was a absolutely no capital interest, Lindsay needs to read into the doctrine of Fascism more because it's not what people think it is and does have narrow definitions. To simplify, it is nationalistic and collectivist simultaneously, as well as being a religion. It's called the "Third Way" because it's heavy emphasis on nationalism and borrows that from the West, and it's collectivism borrowed from socialism or Marxism in Fascism's case . Nazis and Fascists call themselves the true arbiters of socialism. The reason why they had to go to war was the fact like in all collective societies their economy was failing, they needed resources so they stole them across Europe.

Strict obedience in the West is inherently German idea described by Goldmann under 'Spirit of Militarism', Berlin 1916. In other words, radicalized political Augustinism in which state apparatus, instead of being 'God's whip on sinners' takes absolute power. Absolute in a sense that effects of it's application can't be undone or interferred with, a 'poor man's omnipotence' if you will. That's what one gets when one tries to Christianize one of most combative cultures known in the world.

I don't get all this talk of communism, because no one seems to be looking to abolish private property. It looks to me more like we have a bunch of left-wing authoritarians / fascists running around who are using the same playbook as communists, but their actual goal is authoritarianism / fascism with themselves on top -- not abolishing private property. (Obviously, the left-wing are the fascists.)
@geobloxmodels1186
@geobloxmodels1186 Күн бұрын
Abolishing private property can take more than one form. It's not just the state grabbing your stuff. For example, the educational publishing company I work for is getting away from selling tangible textbooks that would be 'owned' by a district. Now the company is selling subscriptions to the content. So, the schools don't own any books, they just rent the content. And that content can be edited by the publisher without the customer even knowing it (this doesn't apply in state adoption states). Lots of software is going this way too. You will own (have your own control over) nothing and you will be happy with what you get to rent (or your social credit score will be reduced). EDIT: Oh, and the company is owned privately and does the bidding of Human Rights Campaign in order to keep up the ESG score and stay in business. If the hrc wants us to have special benefits for trannies, we suddenly give special benefits to trannies.

"I don't get all this talk of communism, because no one seems to be looking to abolish private property." Holy crap, tell me you have been living under a rock without telling me you have been living under a rock. There are entire academic journals that get updated with new papers every year and have massive support from student bodies across this country that are _specifically_ about abolishing private property. They've spiraled so far out of control that they've turned all kinds of things into 'private property,' like 'whiteness.' Seriously, just google 'whiteness as property' and start reading. Ubisoft: "Get comfortable with not owning your games." WEF: "You will own nothing and be happy." (Research this, it's much bigger than the phrase implies, but they have an entire system worked out where you rent everything and own nothing, instead a central controlling authority assumes responsibility for the goods and services). I forget who gave this TED Talk, but a while back, one of those talks had some woman saying people don't want the responsibility of ownership anymore, so that should be outsourced. You have multiple news outlets like Vox Media and Kotaku _all_ advocating for the abolition of private property. Talk to members of Antifa, ask them what they think about private property, and what the real purpose of everything they do is. They will tell you. "but their actual goal is authoritarianism" Communism is authoritarian. You can't abolish private property _without_ authoritarianism, because someone can just walk up to any unattended object and make off with it and say 'this is mine now.'
