22-250 Chasing Rock Chucks

In this episode, my Savage Predator 110 chambered in 22-250 joined Eric Mayer from VARMINTER.COM to chase rock chucks. I am using Hornady 53gr V-MAX projectiles traveling at 3689 feet per second. My optic is the amazing Discovery Optics ED PRS 5-25X56 SFIR FFP scope. After this chase was complete, I also upgraded my stock to an MDT ORYX which has completely changed the look, feel, and fit of the 22-250. My mate has a 22/250 and we're in Scotland. I've seen roe deer and foxes hit with the 90 grain round but not seen this 55 grain v max in action before. I will send him the video.

In this video, I am using the 53 grain VMAX projectile. I’m not sure if you have that where you are but the ballistic coefficient is higher than the 55 grain. Thank you for watching.

Ditto for the guys in South Africa (you know who they are), and the boys up in Utah and elsewhere in the good 'ol USA. It's very cool to get everyone's perspective on their hunts and to see what you guys run from an equipment standpoint. I have a Ruger American in 22 250 i put in the MDT Oryx I love it. The 55 grain V Max is also what I using. That whole combination is deadly to ground hogs.
