Now let me explain you what is with "curent". If you open a window in your house it;s ok, but when you open the second window and nothing is between them, now the wind gets stronger, that is curent! So, if you stay in that strong wind, it means you stay in curent. So why romanians are scarried about "current" (this strong wind) is because (and i see this at older generation) teeth health is not that good, so when sitting in this "curent" they fell like their teeth hurt. And what they feel it;s true, this really happens. Other people may fell their head hurts, which is also true, exposing yourself on a strong wind, that can otherwise be avoided may affect some people. Many old people put cotton wadding in ears so they won't be affected by this wind. Now for this people this is not supersition, they do fell pain for exposing to "curent". I never heard of being infertile or affecting your spirituallity in any way. And i lived and travel in many places in Romania.

One response could be that brains are a bit fucky, and sometimes they make you feel things you don't really feel to protect you, ie: that your head hurts when the windows of the car are open, not because they are open, but because your brain has been fed that something bad is supposed to happen, so it simply makes up the feeling since it thinks "I must just not be feeling it so let me make it myself so they know something bad is happening" instead of "I'm not feeling anything, so nothing is happening". Something similar like this happened a good while ago in a school in the US actually where the students were told that some gas pipe broke and was leaking into the school by someone, and this spread to everyone but they still went to school. Since their brains thought now that there was gas building up in the school, it started simulating the feeling of inhaling bad gasses which resulted in many from the school going to the hospital with symptoms akin to gas inhalation but being found that they'd inhaled nothing, simply because the brain *thought* it was inhaling gas and when it saw it didn't feel anything it instead simulated the feeling of inhaling gas to make sure the person knew they "were inhaling gas" so they'd get out of there.

On the road were stands and vans with all kinds of foods and on the sides of the road there was just grass, trees, chairs and tables. There are also some parks nearby and everything I've talked about is right next to the south train station. And to be honest it looked magical during the night with all the dimmed lights and colorful leds when the concerts ended and everyone just chilled wherever they could sit.

🤣 🤣 Ahahaha! So true! I really love the way you all explain these cultural aspects. It's just so relatable and hilarious 😂😂 👍 Great job! The "Piftie" also scares me. We also eat pork testicles called "fudulii" and pork skin "șorici". We also prepare a weird soup for Easter which is made with some lamb body parts and organs. Every Romanian family has that member who would love to eat that soup in which you'll see the head of that lamb, its eyes and tongue and its small intestines. This soup is usually served in a clay bowl called "strachină". Some Romanians not only eat "ciorbă de burtă" (stomach soup) but also "ciorbă de limbi" (cow tongues soup). Everyone who has lived in the countryside has once played with the "bășica porcului" (pork bladder) when he or she was a toddler thinking that was a ballon and has at least once "climbed" on a burnt pork which has been maliciously murdered "because that's the tradition". Still don't know how we are not traumatized after such events. I think we are witches or sth. Even our aunties and grandmothers know some plant mixes that are good for.... various things. Yep, probably we are witches 🧙‍♀️

The 2nd guy mentioned infertility twice, one for 'curent' and one for women sitting on the ground and istg i've never heard that in my life and I'm born & raised in Ro 😂 'Curent' is literally 'draft', and the sitting on the floor thing is bc floors are cold and for both cases the cold from either the airflow or the floor can affect one's body. Cause a cold, or aches or whatever. It mAy affect ovaries since they're placed in the lower part of the body, but it's not a given. Infertility's such a dramatic explanation and I'm wondering if he rlly remembers right or just heard it once in a certain situation and generalized it.
