Cassowary's get a bad reputation, that was the only confirmed kill in Australian history... and the teenager was throwing rocks at a nesting Cassowary. It was self-defence.

Just came back from Kenya, hippos are the most dangerous animal there. They can run pretty fast and won't stop chasing you till they catch you.

My mom came back recently from there and got chased by a hippo on their safari! Their tour guide yelled at them to run back to the truck and they peeled out super fast! So I believe it!!

As a Canadian, our Canadian geese are no joke and can get especially mean in nesting season in the spring. And they usually nest in the same spot every year. There's one by my house that nests by the door of a home depot they have to re-route pedestrians for a couple months every time 😂

@@Raygathex Additionally, writing nonsensical replies can be avoided by actually reading and thinking about the original comment. -most doesn’t mean all -nothing about people using river water relates to not respecting wildlife -the phrase “regardless of how ‘cute’ they look” clearly implies this is directed at people who try to take pictures of or pet certain animals when they are dangerous. Let me know if you need any additional clarification.

14:20 I lived in Mexico for a couple of years and in the poorer parts, people would literally use geese to guard their yard and front door. They are noisy when you get close and nasty when you get even closer. No joke!

Part 1 x Relating to crocodiles: o As children, we used to say "See you later Alligator" and then receive the response "After a while, crocodile." o For the anniversary of my elementary school graduation this year, one of the movies I watched was Crocodile Dundee. † Another was Beetlejuice, whose sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (which will be a smash hit) is released on September 6th. o There is a game called Crocodile Dentist, where one pulls the teeth out of the toy. o There is a reanimated Crocodile Corpse in the movie Hook. o Killer Croc is a character in Batman: The Animated Series. o Crocodiles play a significant role in the movie Romancing the Stone. o Ray Croc is the focus of the movie The Founder (AKA The McDonald's movie) o The company Crocs, who make the foam footwear, was founded in 2002. o In the electrical field, there is a Crocodile Clip (an electric conductor). o The band Echo and the Bunnymen have an album called Crocodiles. o Crocodile Tears is slang for someone pretending to be sad about something. o Ace Ventura (played by Jim Carrey) fights either a crocodile or alligator in the movie Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. o There is (allegedly) an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh that was named Crocodile. x Speaking of Pandas: o The creators of Panda Express (the place that invented orange chicken), Andrew and Peggy Cherng, both graduated the Master's Program at the University of Missouri (when I acquired my Master's Degree). † An internet user responded to me the other day about that and said that his godfather gave Andrew his loan from Bank of America "back like 45 years ago." † That same user helped build two of their houses, those houses were Luxury-Meditteranean. † He also said that the houses were for their daughters, who live across the street from them (pretty cool!). x Regarding ticks: o There is a 90s cartoon called The Tick (actually created by a Ben, Ben Edlund). o I check my cats for ticks! o Tick-Tock is the name of the Crocodile in the Peter Pan-related television series Jake and the Never Land Pirates. o "Tik Tok" is a classic party song by Keisha. o In one of Larry The Cable Guy's comedy sets, he thought his girfriend had a sexy beauty mark on her face but it ended up being a tick. o Andrew Garfield received a Golden Globe Award for his role as Jonathon Larson in the movie Tick, Tick...Boom! o There is a direct-to-video horror film called Ticks. o A tick is another way of saying a check mark. o Ticked Tabby is a specific type of fur pattern for tabby cats. x About Mosquitos: o There is a popular children's book called Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears: A West African Tale. o There is a bugspray called Ben's Tick & Insect Repellant. o The mosquito in the amber was the one that had DNA used to creat Jurassic Park. o Mosquitoes is a novel by William Faulkner. o Mosquito is an album by the band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. o There is a drink called a Mosquito. o Ancient Greek beast fables include the stories "The Elephant and the Mosquito" and "The Bull and the Mosquito." o "Mosquito" is a song by PinkPantheress † I am actually wearing a Pink Panther t-shirt right now, I bought it the night the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup. x For things related to snails: o Snail Mail is a term refering to Mail (because it is slower than things like email). o We used to get boxes of things like chocolates molded like snail shells for Christmas from one of my uncles. o Gary is the snail on the tv series SpongeBob SquarePants. o I always say that culture develops in society at the pace of a snail (so slow it is hard to even notice there is any change). o A joke I have told a lot is this one: † A snail was crossing the road when a gang of turtles mugged him. The police showed up and asked the snail what happened. “I don’t know,” the snail replied. “It all happened so fast.” x For Tigers: o I bought some sweet habanero sauce at the store called Tiger Sauce. o Charlie Sheen used to make references to Tiger Blood. o Mike Tyson has a tiger on the movie The Hangover. o Both my college (Doane University) and grad school (University of Missouri) have Tigers for mascots. o I started college during The Year of the Tiger (1998) o I completed the grades from Burwell Public Schools (Grades 1-12) starting on The Year of the Tiger (1986) and ending on The Year of the Tiger (1998) o From the time I started public school at Burwell Public Schools till I finished, the LSU Women's Outdoor track team (whose mascot is Tigers) won the National Championship every time. o I have always been a big fan of Calvin and Hobbes, Hobbes being the tiger. o Tony The Tiger is the mascot for Frosted Flakes and was played by Hugh Grant in the movie Unfrosted. o The president of Doane University sedated a tiger and walked it around campus. † I was so glad that I was able to pet the tiger! o The defunct restaurant Sambo's had a tiger for a mascot. o "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor is an important song for the Rocky Franchise. o "Neon Tiger" is a song by The Killers. o There is the childhood picking song "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, Catch a tiger by the toe...." x I have never seen or heard of a Cassowary before! x For ostriches: o My grandparents had neighbors that raised ostriches. † They always told us to never go near them or they might bite your fingers off! o An ostrich headbutts the guys on the movie Dude, Where's My Car? o Leonard Parker (Bill Cosby) rode an ostrick for a bit on the movie Leonard Part 6. o Ace Venture (played by Jim Carrey) rode an ostrick in the movie Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. o At one point, my roommate's girlfriend's church had a puppet show that included Ossie The Ostrich. o In the movie Blended, Adam Sandler rides an ostrich. † Interestingly, Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler are friends.
