I have been using for years a non electric tea light warmer and use unscented tea lights in them then to smell nice I go and buy at Walmart. The wax melts that I made by better homes and garden and also by scensationals brand, they’re at Walmart in the candle isle... They are usually about $2.22 but if you keep checking the clearance aisle at Walmart, these wax melts go on sale for as low as $.50. Also, a ALDI has their own version of wax melts and they smell very good. Truthfully, you will waste money buying a big candle, these wax melts put out a better scent ..I’ve been using these wax melts for years and they are stronger and wonderful to smell once the tea light burns out and they usually last about four hours. You just put the wax warmer in your refrigerator once the melts runs it’s course and the flame is out and you can pull the wax melt out after pops out of the warmer. Get these they’re amazing!! Something I've learned over the years regarding bathroom rugs with the rubber backing... don't try them with heat in the dryer. Let them hang dry and fluff them in the dryer if you want.

A vacuum salesman/repairman told me that using baking soda and those shaker vacuum scents from the store, on your carpet makes it smell better, but it clogs the motor in the vacuum.

I buy several of the brooms at one time to last me all year long. I apply essential oil to them (eucalyptus) all year because of we have a problem with flies throughout the year here in South Texas. Along with gnats from the fruit sometimes. Let me tell you it works. So I will go to $ Tree and stock up on them this coming week so I can be prepared. Also, this past winter I bought the 3 wick candles and large candles from Walmart that were $3 and something and $4 and something and melted them down and made many many votive candles out of them. Gave them as gifts and used the rest of them myself. I bought a lot of those candles and I had votives for a long time and the smell from the candles was amazing. I bought the votive tin holders from Amazon and the candle making stuff not the kit because it was cheaper all from Amazon.

I use lavender essential oil on my dryer bags and have not any problems. It is a clear essential oil. I tried grapefruit essential oil. It was light orange. That one did leave a stain. So, must depend on the color of the essential oil.

Apple cider is a great base for a simmer pot. I just add cloves, cinnamon sticks and orange slices. Lovely fragrance.

Thank you for the tips, I love closet satchels, but my hubby doesn't. I'll have to try the lily closet hang. Also, for spa scents, I prefer wormwood. Some bags were hanging in a sauna in a local spa. Despite the name, I feel in love with the scent.

I heard that fruit flies don't like cinnamon so I hung one of the cinamon brooms over my compost pot and it may have reduced them somewhat until it stopped being so scented. I wonder how I can replenish the scent? I like the salt and fabric softener idea and will give that a go, I worry about the oils in dryer sheets leaching out onto whatever I put them with so will try to use your "container" idea with the sock and dryer ball. I routinely have small dip containers so could use those with a hole punch and cut up strips of dryer sheets...I also like your idea of pick one scent and use it throughout. So many good ideas on this channel! Thank you!

Dogs have EXTREMELY sensitive senses of smell. That Gain is like a “punch in the nose to me’ the dog would suffer from that strong a smell.

Not if you use it small qty I have had 5 Rottweilers at one time and it does not bother mine I also have a Am Bully and believe me if anyone is going to react it would be him and none of my dogs care and I’ve used it in my laundry and as a diy febreeze for all over 7yrs

Any candle perfume whatever has never bothered any dog or cat in my home from Lab, frenchie to siamese. I do stay away from using tea tree oil as a scent in the house. I do use Dr Bronners tea tree shower soap.

@@marylouleach8333 there are some essential oils you need to be very careful with animals in the house I do know that but I have read citrus is bad for my dogs but believe me doesn’t bother my boys because that is something I use all the time I would definitely check with the vet before using just to be safe

Be careful using those hanging air fresheners in your car. Hang them by a window but never near your dash or any plastic ( including wood-look or chrome trim) they can damage those

I don't usually use gain scented anything for anything other than fabric spray. I recently found out that my cat, Miyuki, doesn't like the smell of gain. My husband sprayed her cat tower with the fabric refresher, and now she refuses to use it😢.
