What if I don't see a wound from childhood in myself? I guess it's hard for most to see, but seriously I have been blessed with both my parents. No one had any deal breaker issues growing up. The ex wife had all sorts of issues. Her dad was never really there for her growing up. I had to deal with that until she left. I had no idea what was going on. She still blames me 500 %. Now we get to parallel parent, and she's moved on with someone else. That'd be cool if I thought she had changed.

I'm not really resonating AT ALL with the idea to "not bring any negativity and negative energy into the relationship." Sounds like classic spiritual bypassing and compulsive positivity. Safety to me is not the absence of negativity or discomfort and hurt.
