I flew on one from the Double Eagle airport in ABQ to Afton, WY in 2010. The guy who owned the aircraft was from Artesia and had a bunch of oil money. He owned the company I worked for at the time and he took myself and two other guys mule deer hunting. He was one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met and I’ve had an affinity for these aircraft ever since.

Love that titanium grey-blue paint. Full disclosure, I’ve owned and flown MU2B-40 for 3 decades flying primarily between homes in CO to Lake Tahoe and Puget Sound. Short field performance, speed, efficiency and servicing I choose the Solitaire over KA every day of week and twice on Sunday. We’re actually contemplating downsizing to C340A due to operational costs relative to our mission profiles. These big tp twins are great on long profiles but flying under 200 hrs annually where primary profile is under 5 hrs, they are very expensive to operate compared to a C340A/C421C or modern SETP like TBM.

F90 has the Cool factor for looks but the E90 is the best value in the KingAir 90 series put the same upgraded engines and Avionics the E90 is the better plane. For what some newer F90’s go for you can get a KingAir 200 and the 200 is a lot more plane than the 90 series KingAir. What causes the deceleration when you go to idle with the F90 is 4 bladed props they go flat with 3 bladed props it stays straight and just glides much better flying qualities. Same thing in 200 when I went from 3 bladed props to 4 bladed props I noticed it there also. Tell the truth Beechcraft made a mistake going the C90A route years ago should of went E90 and put the newer cowling on the E90 as it has higher gross weight and high service ceiling and has more fuel than C90A

100 gallons an hour isn't that great. Because one of the smaller jets on your channel was doing that at a higher altitude, faster speed and better performance.
@FlyingwithRich3 жыл бұрын
That’s a different measure. 100 g an hour in the jet at a specific altitude/atmosphere is different than total gallons of gas used divided by total hours put on the King Air - that is average fuel burn per hour. I don’t have a customer who can tell me they purchased X volume of fuel over a specific period of hours to have the same number, but it would be higher for sure. It wouldn’t be the same for all operators either. I think Craig’s fuel burn of 100 g/hour is higher than most because we use the King Air for a lot of short hops where the fuel burn per hour is very high. Thanks for watching and the comment!

You can't even mention the proper mfg'er of the King Air. "250kts TAS" - Yeah, that's called height speed restrictions. "They can yaw you, one way or another". I'd love to see you try to fly a trail dragger. You have zero experience. I grant you no points, and may god have mercy on the souls who have to fly with you.
