In most cities the airport is a necessary evil but Changi is a whole destination of its own. On my bucket list!

Yes they've mastered the art of giving the traveller exactly what they want. It's a destination in itself. 😁

Thank you, Teresita 🤗🙏 We've been through Changi so many times in the past few years, as the Scoot flights from Perth or Sydney to Athens are probably the cheapest flights to Europe... so we've picked out our favourite sleeping spot 😁😴

We completely agree, Steve 😁🤗 That's why we love Singapore Changi Airport and are disappointed if a layover is only a couple of hours 🤣😍

What a wonderful overview of Changi! 👍🏻 🙏🏻 We’ve knew about the free tours but they never worked out for us (i.e., length of layover or time of day) so was very interested in seeing this option. Also the waterfall was spectacular! Wow-can’t envision this being implemented in most of the airports we use. No more free Singapore Slings! 🍹 Oh no…..😁 Thank you for such a wonderful summary of this wonderful airport. Safe travels to the Philippines. 🇵🇭 👋🏻

We love Changi airport, lucchese20, and even more so after our recent experiences trying to sleep in Luton, Sydney, and Athens airports! The Singaporeans have created a brilliant experience for travellers, from The Jewel to the hot & cold water fountains everywhere, to the Cactus Garden and the Koi garden... we didn't even make it to the Butterfly Garden this time round 😁🤗 I'll be flying back from India to Australia on my own in August, transiting in Singapore for 8 hours, so I will make sure I hunt out more fun places in Changi ✈️😁 Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, Mauricio, it's always so lovely to hear from you 🙏🤗♥️ ~ Mandy

You need a Singapore visa to leave the airport like we did to go on the tour. They showed us how to apply online. It was very easy and issued immediately and is free. 👍

Yeap it’s world best airport but yet the things are very expensive in Singapore and the standard of living is high. I’m a Singaporean staying here and we are struggling financially. I still prefer Bangkok as I’m planning to stay in Bangkok and things are affordable and the exchange rate of Singapore dollars to Thai baht was a huge difference in currency. Been planning to rent a condo in Sukhumvit area of Bangkok by end of the year.
@FrugalTravellers6 ай бұрын
Yes I know what you mean. Singapore is very expensive compared to most other Asian capital cities. We really like Bangkok too and have returned many times. Hope everything goes well for you. 🙏😊
