Excellent clips. Really shows the warrior. This man is special. The clip against Dave at 7:50, after coming off of major surgery and having half of his normal mass, really shows his will to win. As Hutchings says, excellence over victory. Also normalizing that kind of kings move is horrible from a spectator standpoint, I almost quit watching aw when I was first introduced to the sport and saw that atrocious match.

Some guys are stronger. Some more technical. There has never been an arm wrestler with Devon’s combination of strength and endurance. He takes your soul and tells you about it while he’s doing it. An all-time great.

@@mrsirman2177 Most arm wrestlers relies on speed and power to beat their opponent but Devon relies mostly on technique and elbow/wrist positioning. That’s what separates Devon from the rest of arm wrestlers. Even people like Levan or Dave Chaffe are really strong arm wrestlers (top 10) and much stronger than Devon but they don’t have a high of a table IQ as Devon’s who makes up for his lesser strength against people stronger than him (I’m not saying that Devon is weak). I feel like Brzenk is one of those few people like Devon who has a really table IQ as well as he knows a lot about technique and doesn’t;t continue wasting energy when he’s pinned by Devon

Crazy how everyone said the younger Devon was strong then and in his prime..but look at him now older wiser stronger and in better condition.. Even in his recent tournament he entered with both left and right no one could move him unless he wanted too..the athletes in that tournament are no amateurs either they all ranked top of their game..Devon looked like he use the tournament for extra training... chafee is a beast but he's gotten older and weaker tbh. chafee gave Devon a lot of trouble in his prime. The fact that Dev in the least kept up with Brzenk is his biggest achievement. Naturally the video doesn't show Devs losses to John. Brzenk GOAT Dev 2nd
