Pretty much the same process, just need to transfer the paddles over too - should be attached to the back cover.

Random question, I have a 2019 STI but I never liked the look of the steering of that generation. Any way it would be bossible to swap a 2022+ WRX steering into the previous gen? I suppose the connectors aren't the same, maybe it would be possible to make a connector?

Can be done but probably not anytime soon on our roadmap of things to do unless we can gather a large amount of interest

@@Namikaze_4thokage this is an alignment shop job. The most basic job. Try to find another shop I would say!

You can clock the wheel all you need on the splines unless it is keyed. Won’t change alignment. Happened to me. Shop said it’s center…. It wasn’t but according the the paperwork alignment was great so I centered the wheel myself.

Is the wheel entirely carbon fiber covered in the suede/alcantara? Or is exposed parts of the wheel only carbon fiber?

They are hand-laid on. Base is not carbon fiber.

When this was filmed we were using OEM core for these wheels which came with the clips but you are absolutely right for future reference if a wheel did not come with it, It will need to be transferred over to the new wheel.

Wheels are expensive? Even a cheap steering wheel is going to run about $150-$200, especially a specific fit.

@@borger99 Except if its gonna cost $800, I would've expected at least a carbon faber trim piece to come with it to replace the fake carbon trim

I paid $899AU for my carbon fibre/alcantara steering wheel which is real carbon fibre right across the top & flat bottom of the wheel.
