She is the best. I had Dr. Stephen as my dermatologist. Too bad her office is always packed and have to schedule months before because she is that good. I suffer from melasma and she helped me alot. She made me realized I was using too much product which could lead to irritation and more hyperpigmentation.

My skincare new year resolution will be finding good sunscreens and reapplying them regularly! I have good sleep and that’s another thing that I care for and I also know that it works! It’s really beauty sleep, and I amp it up with a good night time face oil or a sleeping mask ✨🧖🏻♀️✨ I’m really looking forward to following you 2022 😺 I’m sure this year will be awesome!! Hi Dr. Stephens! I’ve been following your routine for treating hyperpigmentation with cheaper products you recommended and finally got my hands on csypera. Can you advise me how to incorporate this into my routine, please? I saw on your video to use cyspera, azelaic acid suspension 10% and tranexamic acid. I have all 3 products now. I also bought the inkey list salicylic acid cleanser for hormonal acne and the oat cleaning balm for regular use. For a moisturizer I bought the naturium one you recommended and bukuchiol. For sunscreen I bought absolute joi Tinted Moisturizer With SPF 40 Mineral Sunscreen I also have the Josie Karan enzyme cleanser, B oil, 15% Vit C + EGF serum, alpha arbutin 2%+ HA from my cheaper days. Should I stop using these and just follow the outline below? Cleanse, treat with cyspera, azelaic acid suspension 10% and tranexamic acid, moisturize, and use sunscreen. And continue exfoliating 1-2 per week? I didn’t understand this part and was using the Josie maran twice per day for months. I know cyspera targets multiple pigment pathways so I don’t want to be doubling up on steps with too many products. I would appreciate your feedback if you have time. Thanks for all the great information. My skin has improved so much in the last 6 months that even my family noticed haha.

WOW 🤩 you, your mom & your daughter are all GORGEOUS These tips are so useful & practical The only thing I’m struggling with is tretinoin.. I’ll use it & then my face is all irritated for the next 3-4 days So it feels like I’m harming my skin more than anything (it’s 0.01% not even the base 0.025% that’s considered less intense 😭)
@Future-zx9ts2 жыл бұрын
Buffer it with moisturizer. Cleanse, moisturize, wait 15-30 minutes, then apply the Tretinoin. Apply a moisturizer afterwards, too, if needed. Also cut back on other actives ( vitamin C, chemical exfoliants, etc) until your skin becomes more acclimated to it. I’ve been using tret off and on for 20 years, and I still don’t use it every night. Good luck, and hope that helps a little!

Wonderful video! ❤️👏🏻 It seems like these things are not often thought/talked about as much, since it’s easy to just get caught up in the buzziest new product. But these simple tips are so effective and make such an impact in overall skin health. The expiration date realization I had recently really made me kick myself for all the overbuying and over-testing of new products. I have so many that are no longer effective, thus have been wasted. Hate that. It helped to change the way I viewed buying skincare... focusing on buying what you need (which also means becoming more ingredient-smart), when you need it, can be more helpful for both skin and wallet, and of course much less wasteful.
