6:25 I’m a software developer and a lot of us put our docks onto the left side of the screen because it resembles most Linux distros. It also gives slightly more vertical room so that just a bit more content can fit onto the screen (when you don’t have dockHide on).

Or, as you said at the end, hide the dock and use spotlight to launch apps much faster.

@@alexwr When you have 15 different apps on your dock it sucks to hide it and try to remember each time what’s there

@@litbro8180 That's why you use Spotlight, a simple keyboard command and you have a comprehensive search of your entire computer, and the web if you so choose. Besides, hiding the dock doesn't mean it's invisible and you have to guess what's there! It's still there, but you have to move your mouse to the bottom of the screen to bring it up. Just hit 'option-shift-d' to toggle the dock off and on.

I change my desktop every month because I’m too aligned with seasonal changes 😅 every year my backgrounds have a theme as well. Last year it was “aesthetic” wallpapers and this year it’s landscapes. I use a boot camp for work so on my windows side I use realistic landscapes and on my Mac desktops I use anime landscapes (which are so cute!) This video helped me realize how to amp it up a little so it flows nicer and has more aesthetic appeal, so definitely implementing

hey!! if your screen goes black after some time what worked for me was going to system preferences > battery > battery > then dragging the curser along to 'never' on the scale (you can obviously adjust it to how long you want) hope this helps as I've seen many people saying they're having this issue but no one is helping :-)

your obsession with wallpapers is so relatable lol, i will spend hours looking for the perfect wallpaper and i change it every few months. it also has to be HD, if its even the slightest bit blurry i get super annoyed and have to pick something else 😆

i use a mac and i swear the amount of times i change my wallpaper annoys even my sister and not only do i change my bg, but also the colors so it matches my wallpapers (much like the highlight colors but it affects the dock and the start up menu hihi)

Another way for customizing wallpapers is downloading the image, (or if its a screenshot) then double clicking on it, then services, then set destop picture

I actually don't use folders but I use stacks instead - right click on the desktop and press "Use stacks" and then I set "Stack by" to "Tags"
