There are ways to install Office on Mac (You need Home & Business version). I tried several sources, including eBay, but they stopped working after a few months. @cerebralhawks45449 ай бұрын
11:20: Regarding the three-finger left/right swipes, I would also mention here that, like on an iPhone (or Android phone), you can actually have multiple desktops. Windows has this as well now, but it's not as intuitive. And if you set it up on a MacBook, it can become second nature. On a Mac without a track pad, you would just hit F3 if you have a native Mac keyboard to invoke Mission Control, or CTRL+UP either way (even on a MacBook) to do it as well. Then you can select the desktop from the top. A desktop space in macOS is a desktop and a set of windows, or a full-screen app. (Unlike in iOS, in macOS, a widget on one desktop persists across all desktops.) So you can have a full-screen app (say Excel), then you've got two desktops, one for productivity, like it's got Calendar and Email open, and one for fun, say you've got Music and either TV or Safari/browser with KZbin open. Taking desktop spaces further, you can have two (or more?) apps open together in fullscreen. So you could have Word (or Pages, Apple's free alternative) open using roughly 2/3 of your screen, with Safari open to Wikipedia in the other third, and this is a whole desktop. Your video touches on this briefly with the green button, but doesn't go into much depth. So by hovering green and choosing "Tile window to [side]", and then choosing another app to go on the other side, the two enter full screen together and become their own desktop space. And you can adjust the border between them. Been a Mac user for about 9 months now. Got my M2 MacBook Air (15", Midnight, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) in May of last year, and my M2 Pro Mac mini (16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) last December. Mostly self taught, but I have watched a few of your videos. Been using Windows since 3.1, but got tired of MIcrosoft's nonsense. (Though I still love Word and Excel.) So mostly, macOS is not hard to learn... for a Windows expert. Honestly it's just a matter of going through settings, looking at keyboard shortcuts (in menus and such), trial and error... and yes... watching videos like these. So in these videos, 85-90% is stuff I found on my own, but I watch for that 10-15% I didn't already know.

Thank you for your resources. I've had my MacBook for a decade, and it feels good to have this refresher course. The irony for me is, decades ago, I've learned computers on Apple! We had the Apple III (they were for office use only), then Apple debuted the MacIntosh. Steve Jobs demanded that the classrooms have Apple computers. So seeing this brings back many memories for me. Thanks again!
