I believe this is the restaurant my wife and I visited where they asked if we wanted the "American menu", and I asked what the difference was, and the girl said, "It has English and the portion is much larger". 😆 At least she was honest. I had a 400g Kobe ribeye and my wife had a 250g Kobe filet, plus we had shrimp, scallops, and fried rice. Amazing experience, excellent service.

for the most part at these restaurants they dont want too many flavors clashing, they simply want to bring out the ingredients purest flavor possible. thats why they lightly season the steak for instance because it is already an incredibly flavorful and tender meat.
