If you think about it with new eastin you can actually counter valenti with a pen team because you can block their ults and just rush ults to kill valenti and get rid of her passive, and it can be better with gowther you can attack seal to deny all ult removal abilities and they cant do nothing about it

I think he did it so that he can get maximum damage from the corrosion to pretty much negate BLiz's shield. If he didn't do so, BDemonMeli's AOE wouldn't be able to apply the pierce damage I think
