This is the first video I tried out the new camera to film the bowling.. tell me why I like the iPhone camera better 😑 Also Delta Bowl was temporarily closed so I had to film at a bowlero and the lighting there isn’t as good for videos since they got that club atmosphere thing going on

Crap lighting situation wasn't great for it, but actually it looks a lot clearer now when you focus on the pins and take your shots! I think the saturation slider just needs a little love and it'll look a lot better.

an iPhone camera is made for the lowest common denominator. Point and shoot and it works perfect most of the time. The camera is a tool and a harder one to use at that. Just like if you give a new bowler a Gem, it's tough for them to use it. Obviously Simo can use a Tropical Surge but he'd probably be a lot more effective with the high end equipment. It'll take some time and supporting equipment to get it to work for you.

I feel like scoring with the light ones you have to go slow and rev it up. We used to go $5 a frame and winging it didn’t work. When it’s slow it seems to saw through in this weird exaggerated way when the revs are high Was fun back then

As someone with 27 years of photography and videography experience, I would have recommended a Panasonic Lumix S5ii, or S5iix, or a Lumix GH7 for your new camera honestly. Much cheaper than the Canon R6 you bought and really much better cameras for what you are doing.

Every swing shot was dead on. Really thought you had it going on that third game after the third frame. Great bowling, love these videos.
@thomastaylor126817 күн бұрын
That's actually a pretty good set with a 4LB ball. The more I watch the pin deflection with these balls the more I think about getting a 6LB ball to keep in my bag. Also, you need to do videos where you try to throw those balls with the factory fingers.

Journey playing at the bowling alley. Love the 70's music. I thought you were hoping for 200 total for the 3 games. Because there is no way on earth that you are shooting 200 with that thing.
@railfanmaximstill727917 күн бұрын
It doesn't deflect if you throw it hard enough. (On second thought don't try what I just said if I was to use that I'd probably break something I'd throw it so hard. 14 lb ball throw it almost 22 mph max

@@220avg Sounds good, I'm not working. Don't have to deal with it. 😂😂. I'm the head mechanic. The issue with anything under 6lbs is the fact that there's retarders in front of the power lift to slow down bowling balls prior to reaching it. Anything under 6lb can sometimes cause undergrounds. The retarder (carpet strip on a metal bracket on each side of track) helps with wear and tear on the powerlift clutch which the bottom tire is attached too. Most Brunswick A2's with accelerators in the back have this set up. Also, the Y-Switch for the ball return down back could possibly have a hard time with something so light. Then again, I don't know. Never seen anything lighter than 6lb ball before.

@EthanRadcliff17 күн бұрын
The lower the backswing the more control you have. Take Kyle troup for example and if u do want it higher you have to get low to the ground like Simo 😁

4lb ??? .. isn't that a little heavy for you Michael? .. 🤣🤣.. seriously though, that HAS to be hard to strike with. You have to throw it like 100 mph just to knock the headpin down. I like your strategy of just throwing through the nose, otherwise the ball just simply deflects too much. I have a 6lb and I have seen rubber 5lb balls, I didn't know you could find an actual 4lb ball though. NICE!
@squidly211217 күн бұрын
Hey, just an observation, but it looks to me like you are really "rolling" the ball much better with your release. Have you been working on any release changes? .. it looks really good at the bottom and through your release. A really good "roll" ..

2:28 The 2 pin flys back at warp speed and takes out, THE BALL!!!! Yeah, the new camera is not that good. An iPhone in 4K would produce a much nicer video. Honestly you should have gone with a mirrorless camera or even a Black Magic. Perhaps some serious post production of the video could give it some life, but the lens is not very sharp. Sorry...
