2214Y Update!

What is happening with 2214Y? Waiting.... There are several delays, first my camshaft had to be sent out and repaired, and then the crankshaft had to be replaced. The the vinyl for the interior that airtex interiors used was on the evergreen cargo ship that was stuck in the Suez canal so all their products are backed up till who knows when. All out of my control so no stressing wont help.
Good news is the JPI 900 engine monitor is installed and it is waiting on the Lycoming 0320 engine installation from Airmark Engines in Fort Lauderdale.
Have you always wanted to learn how to fly but now you are over 50? Get out there and start and learn! There are so many people in there 50's and 60's who are just starting to fly so what are you waiting for?

Yup. Same boat as you are. Week 6 of a 13 week factory remand wait. I just hope the 13 week is realistic time frame… not holding my breath based on what I’m hearing and reading 🤨

I know ! I just got a 5 week delay on Friday because my crankshaft needs to be replaced …. So it will be a total of 12 weeks if nothing else gets delayed …. 🤬😡😡… thanks for watching!!!!

My plane (PA-24) was down for two years, due to a (AD) stabulater horn replacement, and the mechanic had unforseen health issues which flared up.

I’m training in a Duchess. The performance will spoil you and it is easy to handle with one engine inoperative. Think it is going to be tough to readjust to my 172M.@@Over50andLearningToFly
