Just my personal opinion but I think the guy who plays Aaron is gorgeous. I love this story even though I only discovered it by accident. I started watching Emmerdale because of James Sutton and I discovered Aaron and Jackson.

Replay of scene: - interior Jackson and Aaron at bar - Jackson (looks at Aaron - smirking): "I know you fancy me all to yourself." Aaron (insistent): "And just what is wrong with that? We are a couple, aren't we?" crossfade to interior - Aaron's couch. Aaron and Jackson making out. Aaron (looking Jackson in the eyes): "I have your birthday present upstairs. Come with me" Fade on stairs. Now, is everybody happy - LOL?

Based on experience here...I am not surprised by Aaron's reaction. Like it or not, some guys really struggle with the simple stuff and that the "gay thing" makes them happy. I haven't watched Emmerdale beyond the Aaron stuff but it is pretty clear that he looks up to Ryan, holds him in high regard. For people with the kind of issues Aaron has being close to people, I am not surprised he is camped out waiting for word, even at the expense of his wonderful boyfriend.

i know we all are alittle ticked at the way the writers are with a&J but they did let us know at the beginning of this story 2 things. 1) just because aaron came oout didnt mean that they were going to change the aspects of this character, they said that he would be the same as he always was. which is to mean that aaron is the same person just that he openly like boys now. 2) and the A&j relationship would be a complicated one. i also thought that they would make him alittle affectionate

I think jackson really figured out why aaron is moody when jackson said I know you want me all to yourself and aaron said know e didn't was just a flat lie! aaron did seem to be hurt that it couldn't of just been the two of them yet he didn't want to admit it.

Did Aaron & Jackson agree that it was going to be just the two of them? Because if they did, then Jackson reneged on Aaron. And if they didn't, then it's Aaron who backed out on Jackson. Not that it's headline news either way, but it seems they didn't communicate. Since Aaron felt crossed, he wasn't about to spend the evening with Jackson's mates, whom he took an instant dislike to. Maybe we'll get to see Aaron deal with Jackson's friends in the future. Should be interesting. :-)

Aaron overreacted yes, but he is just now getting somewhat comfortable going public with his relationship with Jackson in Emmerdale. Now Jackson brings two more "mates" with him and Aaron feels four is too conspicuous. He is upset about what has happened to Ryan but is just using that as an excuse to be a jerk.

@mjburn5 I beg to differ. Aaron DID get mad because Jackson invited his "mates" along, to what should have been a private celebration. Jackson's (so called) mates are not his BF. Aaron is, and in Aaron's limited Gay life experiences, can't fathom why Jackson would want to invite ANYONE else along ... especially queens. If he was more comfortable with Gay life, he might have understand, but Jackson made an assumption that Aaron would just accept his mates. Therein lies Jackson immaturity.

aaron is just still not used to the gay thing.. he does want Jackson to himself, so it's completely understandable how aggressive he can't get with his jealousy. He may be way too aggressive and taking it out on the wrong people, but that's just who the kid is.. it was so good to finally see Paddy again. I love Rhona!

Aaron has been out publicly for 3 months, Jackson is his first boyfriend, Jackson knew what he was getting into with Aaron. Even though Aaron is out, he still finds some situations difficult, like this situation with Jacksons birthday. I can understand his reaction,plus the fact he's concerned for his friend. Jackson needs to realise Aaron is still coming to terms with his sexuality and its best not to push him, let him find his own pace. Plus why would you want to celebrate your birthday with a couple of friends and Aaron when you can have Aaron all to yourself 😍 Just saying 😘

@mandrsol It always amazes me that people confuse immaturity with lack of life experience. Like the difference between being ignorant and an idiot. Idiot just doesn't get it where as someone that is ignorant knows better but chooses to ignore. As far as the next scene is concerned, (which I've viewed) he hasn't the right to hold a grudge - he's the basis of the problem. He told Aaron he was pushing him before and should (have) given him time - then invites "mates" to what should be private?

Aww poor Jackson but he does push Aaron into some situations considering its Aaron who suggested a nice night out for jus the 2 of them for his(Jackson) birthday (when he'd wanted to cancel )..love aaron but he can major prat when he puts his mind to it... but i'll forgive him this time coz he's obviously terribly worried abt his mate.. @Jendall1 I just emailed [e-mail] & asked them to pass it along to the writers & producers of Emmerdale. I praised the show & acknowledged that it plays at dinnertime. Then I suggested that they nevertheless need to portray Aaron & Jackson not puritanically as mere acquaintances, but realistically as boyfriends who actually like each other & sometimes kiss, hold hands, etc. I concluded: "Seriously, with the exception of this one problem, the show is brilliant!"

@1958louief I think you mean "Surely." But "Surly" is even better, because Aaron was surely being surly! :-) I'm afraid that surly Aaron won't get Jackson anything, but I agree that he has a soft side; he's just afraid to show it.

I am in agreement with some of my other members on here. This Aaron/Jackson relationship is getting VERY boring. They are almost as bad as Nuke was here in the states. Aaron and Jackson look nothing more than casual friends at the best. This is supposed to be a "gay" relationship? Are the Brits that paranoid about two men showing affection? Liven this A & J storyline up before the audience falls asleep.

i know that aaron was being an ass about the b-day situation but i think he kind of wanted to be alone with jackson and not with jackson and the tag alone mates. so he turn to the aaron that we all know the one that havent master how express his feeling w/o being brutal and mean. so he uses ryan arrest as a scapegoat and an excuse. he all know his has it in him, we just would like to see it writers alittle ok?

@limegreen9717 I don't think it was immature at all. 1-They have JUST started working towards a relationship, and deserve all the alone time they can get, 2-Jackson being older (only by 3 years), but more comfortable in a relationship and the Gay community should have stopped and thought of that instead of "partying all night with his mates". Snoggin' with his BF was more appropriate. Next year they can all go out as a friendly crew. 3-The campy remarks by the other was not necessary

let me ask a question when there was a major change in your life how did you handle that, were you a little cautious or did you just going full stream ahead. but i think that if we are a little more patient that we are about to see that something is about to happen with these too character good or bad that i cant tell.

Does Aaron and Action Jackson have ANY intimate moments or gestures or eye contact ANYTHING???? Aargghhhhh! Is this maybe the behaviour of the new gay couples for this millenium??? I hope that the producrers going to do something very quickly otherwise this fall the buzz and excitement about this dream (?) couple will sizzle out very quickly and be dead when X-mas comes!
