Very similar result's for sure. You were on the low end for weight with the .223 and higher end for .308 for bullet weight. Would have been interesting to use 77 grain .223 on that paver.

If you use the resolute, l remember you had good numbers through the chrono with 55 grain so that would definitely punch a hole right through the first first block but will probably tumble after that so mild chip on second block. Not sure if you have the endeavour or the ruger america but either way the heavier 308 should shatter first block and crack second block...maybe.

I don’t know if it would make any difference, but you might try laying a 2x6 across the tops of the pavers. Drill a hole on each side of the wood right behind each paver. That should keep the pavers from tilting back and possibly deflecting the bullet. We might possibly see more penetration.

PRO TIP: Get yourself a big piece of White Foamboard or some rigid White Cardboard. At least 4’X4’. Tape or clamp it to your tripod so it (White) bounces the sunlight back to you. It’s a photographer/ Videographer technique called Bounce Light or Fill Light. It will make you look like you have professional lighting when you are shaded but your background is sunlit. There’s also a product called Flexi Fill discs which can be twisted to make small for storage. 👍 love your vids..

I’ve shot & own both calibers the out come is what I expected but that 308 smacked that more violently to me. Still don’t want to get hit with either. A friend of mine daughter got hit with a AK 47 while running away & got hit in her back leg it exit out front of her lower knee… when I tell you look like a bomb exploded in her leg hole was about fist size. She almost loss her leg but didn’t after several surgeries. So I can imagine a any rifle round destroying human flesh
